Rock Hill, SC - The largest high school & post grad championships in the country Big Shots Prep Nationals was once again an electric atmosphere and full of talent of all levels. The event featured 106 High School and Post Grad teams from 28+ different states at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center. College coaches and national media were in attendance throughout the weekend. Champions: Moc Valley Prep (TN) takes home the title in the 62-53 win over Golden State Prep Grey (CA).
MVP Performers:
2024 6’3 PG Yesan Warren led his team to the title at BIG SHOTS PREP NATIONALS averaging 21.3 ppg. A playmaking guard that took games over scoring for Moc Valley Prep (TN). Starred throughout the years at BIG SHOTS on the circuit with B-Maze Elite.
Breakout Performer:
* Top rebounder in the event 2024 7’0 C Spence Wewe of Terror Prep (CAN) led the tournament in double-doubles including two 20 points 19 rebound games. High motor big with instincts and a rising ceiling. Attracting premier Jucos nationally following the events as he currently holds offers from Three Rivers College, Casper College, Vincennes University, New Mexico Military Institute, Missouri West Plains, South Georgia Tech, Hillsborough CC, Western Wyoming +.
*Athletic 2024 6’7 slashing wing Francis Wai of Potter’s House Prep PG (FL) was impressive in Charleston Invitational and continued his stellar play at Prep Nationals averaging 19 ppg. Efficiently converts around the rim with his length and springs. D2+ prospect at this time but his skillset and athleticism package at 6'7 will continue to see his stock rise.
* TD Prep (GA) was led at the point guard spot once again by 2024 6’1 PG Nick Oliver. Steady lead guard that can facilitate and find his scorers but here he showed his shot shooting throughout the weekend averaging 19.3 ppg.
* Golden State Prep Grey (CA) was led to the title game by 2024 6’7 PF Bryce Coleman, a power big with back to the basket moves who plays to his strengths and converted in the paint at a high rate. Coleman led GSP at 18.5 ppg.
