Bristol, VA - Friendship Cars Virginia Invitational held at the prestigious Virginia High School featured teams throughout Southwest Virginia and Tennessee along with national teams from North Carolina, Minnesota, Georgia, West Virginia, Florida and Canada.  

Champions: NCGBB National (NC), S3 Academy (VA)

MVP Performance: NCGBB National was crowed champions of the SLAM bracket of 8, led by 33 points from one of North Carolina's top available 2024 wings in Jalik Nichols.  For S3 Academy (VA), 2024 6'4 slashing wing Papa Kounta took home MVP honors.

Breakout Performer: Hamilton Heights (TN) 2024 6'10 C Viktor Mikic was a breakout performer.  The skilled big showed his high level skillset throughout the event. The Croatia national team member is currently receiving So-Con, MAC level recruiting but look for his recruiting to rise here towards the end of the season into the Spring. A high major big.

Tournament Leading Scorer: 2025 5'9 PG Jalyn Patterson of Minnesota Prep (MN) was hot all weekend averaging 29.5 ppg. Speedy lead guard can shoot it from deep and scores with creativity at the rim. Currently holds offers from Charlotte, Tulsa, Bethune Cookman. The success at the PG runs in the family as his brother Lucye is a past Big Shots All Star now having an All-AAC caliber year at Charlotte.
