A combination of length, athleticism, mobility, feel and skill that puts him in rare company at the high school level, Sir Mohammed looks destined for success as he winds down his high school career and takes his elite level and versatile skill set to the University of Notre Dame next year.  In addition to his great length for the guard position at 6’7 Sir possesses excellent agility and body control allowing him to slice his way through traffic and get to the rim off the bounce almost at will.  A good ball handler who uses a variety of dribble moves to gain separation from defenders and to break defenders down off the bounce allowing him to employ his long, graceful strides and ample strength to play through contact.  Shifty for his size, natural
instincts, very good lateral pop, great body control to negotiate tight spaces as he weaves through lane enroute to the basket.  Sir has a great touch around the rim on non dunk finishes but often finishes drives with resounding slams showing his powerful leaping ability.  Sir can stop on a dime and bury the pull up jumper at a high rate showing fluid mechanics and superb footwork.  He hits the step back jumper, his length and solid handle helping to create ample space on the step back although he is able to shoot over the top of many defenders.  Sir is a threat from behind the arc as well both on the catch and when stepping into his shot off the bounce.  He can score going in either direction and does a nice job keeping his dribble low and tight in traffic. Sir’s versatility is a valuable asset in the defensive end as well as he has the footwork, quickness and technique that allows him to defend other wings in space and out along the perimeter while also proving to be a  strong and disruptive presence in the paint as a shot blocker and rebounder.  He’s an astute passer which also makes him dangerous in transition and when attacking off the bounce.  Very good vision and the willingness to create for others.  He can block a shot to initiate the beak and finish at the other end of rebound and lead the break.  Sir is after all, lead guard capable and is often employed as his high school team’s primary ball handler, a role he is likely to fill on the next level.  A four star combo guard, Sir has the athleticism and skill level to easily translate and should be an immediate impact when he suits up for the Fighting Irish next season having committed to Notre Dame back in August at the boys Elite 24 game.  He has the DNA!  Sir  is the son of former NBA star  Nazir Mohammed who enjoyed a successful 18 year NBA playing career is currently the General Manager of the NBA G Leagues Oklahoma City Blue and a pro scout for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Sir is the second highest ranked Notre Dame basketball commit in the last decade with only JJ Starling ranked higher.  He is the key part of a strong recruiting class for Coach Shrewsberry that includes Paul Vi star Garrett Sundra and IMG Academy’s Cole Certa.
