Rock Hill, SC - In its fourth year the Big Shots Prep Nationals had incredible talent and hosted several top teams in the nation. Over 105 highschool and post grad teams made this years event the biggest high school event for Big Shots to date. Prep Nationals featured hundreds of available prospects and a number of ranked players in the nation. Teams from over 3 countries, and 15 states traveled to the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center all for one common goal, to be name National Champs.
Moravian Prep (GA) -
The best shooting team in the nation came into Big Shots Prep Nationals as one of the most anticipated teams in the Bracket that also had two top 25 teams in the nation. Moravian Prep whom recently moved from NC to GA came back home to make a statement and no one picked them to pull off the impossible. Moravian Prep did exactly what no one thought was possible and beat not 1 but 2 top 25 teams in the nation to be crown National Champs. Moravian Prep was led by the Slam division MVP and probably the most outstanding player in the entire tournament Jordan Marsh. Marsh averaged 27.7 points per game, scoring 29 points in the championship game against #20 Combine Academy. Moravian Prep won 82-59 in convincing fashion. Graham Woreland was the teams second leading scorer averaging 20 ppg.
Shabach Christian Academy (MD) -
The best defensive team in the entire tournament took home the title in the Slam division as they defeated iSchool by 3 points 68-65. It was a back and forth game that came down to the wire but when this team was backed up against the wall, they showed why defense matters. The on ball defense was a difference maker, but also this team just jelled together. Shabach was special to watch on both ends and it was all lead by MVP Kevon Corley. Corley exploaded for 24 points in the opener and was 1 of 5 players that averaged double figures.
MVP:
Moravian Prep National (GA) 2 Jordan Marsh
Shabach Christian Academy National (MD) 6 Kevon Corley
