RECAP: Big Shots Southeast Tip Off 17U Blue Division All Stars

Charlotte Dragons Elite won the 17U Blue division title after strong performances from MVP Trey Hood.

Rock Hill, SC- Big Shots Southeast Tip Off was a big time event to start things off in the Carolinas. This event was held at the amazing 9 court facility, Rock Hill Sports & Events Center and was sold out with over 160 teams. Both Boys & Girls teams were in attendance competing at the highest level. High major talent including nationally ranked players were on display all weekend as top teams battled it out. The Southeast Tip Off has blossomed to be one of the premier events to start of the season. Scouts filled the facility evaluating talent, looking for the next best prospect to make a name for himself. Teams from a number of states traveled across the east coast. CHAMPS: CHARLOTTE DRAGONS ELITE

The Charlotte Dragons Elite proved to be one of the top 17U teams at Big Shots Southeast Tip off after a terrific performance going 5-0. The Dragons have an extremely balanced scoring attack as they had 3 players all average around double figures. Trey Hood had his two best performances in the semifinal and championship game securing him with MVP honors. Hood posted back to back 15 & 16 points games hitting crucial shots. One of the most impressive things about this team is their defensive performances. They held teams to an average of 35 ppg game which is near the lowest of the entire tournament. They beat teams by an average of 23 looking extremely dominant on both ends. Along with Hood, the Dragons had another player that was dominant on the offensive end. Cole Johnson led the team in scoring averaging over 13 points per game and helped lead the way. Take a look at the full all star selection below:
