Virginia Beach, VA-  Big Shots Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Tip Off was the kick start for Big Shots and the AAU season. The Virginia Beach Tip Off was held at the top of the line 12 court Virginia Beach Sports Center. This event was special and a perfect one to start the season with tons of nail bitters. Countless games went down to the wire and were decided by one final possession. There was a lot of high level talent spread across all divisions and they all competed to be the last team standing. CHAMPS: NC Athletics 

NC Athletics was the team to watch in the 13U division as they went undefeated on the weekend, eventually capturing the 13U championship. The title game was a matchup between NC Athletics and Team United, but in the end the depth of the Athletics were too much to handle. NC Athletics were lead by All Stars Josiah Brown, Ziyad Holt, Karon Watlington, and tournament MVP Christian Hester. Hester was named tournament MVP due to his explosive game in the title game where he scored 20 points. There is so much talent on this team with their depth and versatility.
