Virginia Beach, Va- Big Shots Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Tip Off was the kick start for Big Shots and the AAU season. The Virginia Beach Tip Off was held at the top of the line 12 court Virginia Beach Sports Center. This event was special and a perfect one to start the season with tons of nail bitters. Countless games went down to the wire and were decided by one final possession. There was a lot of high level talent spread across all divisions and they all competed to be the last team standing. Take a look below at the All Star Selection.
Zae Cleveland was a force at Big Shots Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Tip Off and was a main reason for Team United capturing the 14U title. Team United went 4-0 and was battle tested throughout their run but it was the play from their 3 all stars that propelled them over Vizion Black in the title game. Cleveland was very effective on both ends all weekend but offensively is where he shined. He was hard to stop in the open court and was a force in the interior averaging over 10 points per game. Zae is a super versatile wing with a ton of athleticism, he can defend multiple positions & finish above the rim. At such a young age Cleveland has a lot of promise with a huge upside. Throwing down dunks left and right, pushing the break and finishing through contact really made people take notice of the 6'3 forward. Along with Zae Cleveland Team United had two other all stars named Derrick Barnes & Antonio Williams.
