RECAP: Big Shots Prep Nationals High School SLAM All Stars

Liberty Heights National & Liberty Heights Varsity takes home both titles in the SLAM division at Big Shots Prep Nationals.

Rock Hill, SC-  Big Shots Prep Nationals was the last high school and post grad event of the year for Big Shots and it was the biggest high school event on the east coast. Prep Nationals was held at the amazing 9 court facility, Rock Hill Sports & Events Center. High major talent was on display all weekend as top teams battled it out. This event was sold out with 96 teams, and over 1,000 players. The facility was filled all three days with college coaches from every division, JUCO all the way to high major Division 1’s. Teams the following states and countries were in attendance: NC,SC,TX,FL,VA,MD,PA,OH,NY,NJ,WV,AL,TN,GA,CAN & EUR . Take a look below at  the All Star Selection.

Liberty Heights National & Varsity swept the high school SLAM division after the National team defeated Moravian Prep in one of the best games ever to be held at Prep Nationals & the Varsity team defeated IMG National Spotlight. Both teams had incredible runs displaying the toughness that runs through the entire program. This program always says 2 teams 1 program and it was evident in the runs made over the weekend. Takai Simpkins and Silas Demary Jr were named MVP's of the SLAM division as they both were the engine that made each team go. Takai Simpkins led Liberty Height Varsity in scoring, averaging just over 19 points per game. Silas Demary Jr was also Liberty Heights National's leading scorer. It wasn't only the offense that made both of these players great, it was the on the defensive end were Simpkins and Demary changed the trajectory of their tournament. Along with these two, both teams had many players named 1st and 2nd team All Stars. The names of All Stars are listed below.
