RECAP: Big Shots Prep Nationals Post Grad SLAM All Stars

TMS in their first year come in to Prep Nationals and take the title after strong performances by Franklin & Dixon.

Rock Hill, SC-  Big Shots Prep Nationals was the last high school and post grad event of the year for Big Shots and it was the biggest high school event on the east coast. Prep Nationals was held at the amazing 9 court facility, Rock Hill Sports & Events Center. High major talent was on display all weekend as top teams battled it out. This event was sold out with 96 teams, and over 1,000 players. The facility was filled all three days with college coaches from every division, JUCO all the way to high major Division 1’s. Teams the following states and countries were in attendance: NC,SC,TX,FL,VA,MD,PA,OH,NY,NJ,WV,AL,TN,GA,CAN & EUR . Take a look below at  the All Star Selection.

TMS also known as Speights Academy came in to Big Shots Prep Nationals hungry to put the nation on notice. TMS is a first year program based out of Florida and has put themselves front and center in the post grad basketball world. Former NCAA & NBA champion Mo Speights is the founder and coach of Speights Academy. He has transitioned into the coaching world and he is a pure natural. Jamar Franklin was named MVP of the SLAM post grad division leading his team in scoring for the duration of the tournament. Isaiah Jones & David Dixon were also named 1st team all stars after having big showings and helping lead Speights Academy to a 4-0 record. Franklin is already committed to South Alabama and was electric on the offensive end. His scoring ability was put on display as he was able to get hot from the 3 point line and showcase his ability to get to the rim. The title game in the Slam division was between TMS & Miami Prep, rivals who are both based out of south Florida. In their only other matchup of the year Miami Prep came away with the win. This one ended differently, with Speights Academy winning by 1 point as the clocks hit 0:00.
