Rocky Mount, NC- The Big Shots RMEC MLK Classic was a high level event that hosted several high school and post-grad schools throughout the Southeast region. Schools from NC, SC, VA, and GA were in attendance to play in honor of the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

Moravian Prep National has shown why they are one of the best 3 point shooting teams in the country. They set a North Carolina state record with 31 made 3 pointers in a game at Big Shots MLK Classic. Jackson Holt was the player of the game making 11 3's in one game. NC's No. 1 2025 prospect Eli Ellis and 2026 Isaac Ellis have star power and game. Ryan Roberts had a big showing to start the game. Slashing forward Marvin Thompson was the breakout performer for Moravian Prep.
CBA is one of the hardest-playing teams we have seen all year. Led by guards Daryl Houston and Randy Crosby, making the plays all over the court for the team. Randy Crosby was the game MVP finishing with 17 pts, and Daryl Houston contributed with 14. Rock Johnson's team brings it for 32 minutes and has a team that values every possession. Players for all levels on this CBA program that will continue to make a name for themselves and most importantly win games.
NCGBB Varsity has made huge improvements over the course of the high school season. One of their stars on the rise is 2023 6'5 Nigel Okwakol who now runs the show at the point guard spot. He scored in many different ways putting up 21 pts in the win and needs to be on Division-1 programs radar. He's one of the biggest sleepers in NC 2023 class with his upside as a PG. Isaiah Otyaluk is also a scholarship prospect to watch.
Franklin Prep (NC) wins their second consecutive Big Shots Prep Showcase title this season with a 54-52 win over Virginia Prep. Sherman Jackson's squad was once again led by MVP high motor wing Judah Ravenell with 17 points and athletic 6'8 2023 forward Bryce Wilkins contributing with 14. Trent McLaughlin hit key shots and Ravenell was able to ice it at the line to hold on for the win.
Moravian Prep Regional stuck to the Moravian Prep standard in scoring putting up 92 points in the win. Scoring combo guard Daniel Thomas led with 19 points in earning game MVP honors. Emmanuel White can fill it up scoring 14. Lengthy lefty Ian Blue can mix his game up inside-out contributing with 14.
