Big Shots Carolina Labor Day Classic: Varsity Girls All Stars

Rock Hill, SC- Big Shots Carolina Labor Day Classic was a standout event held at the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center. It was filled with some of the nation’s best as they competed for a chance to take home the title. There was elite level talent and some new up and coming stars. Big Shots Carolina Labor Day Classic was a great tournament on the holiday weekend.

Tamya Hutchinson was a standout player in the girls division as she led H2Lowco to the championship title. She was named the InStat most outstanding player in for the entire tournament leading the division in scoring, averaging over 16 ppg. Hutchinson is a 5'4 PG in the 2024 class and proved to be one of the top players at Big Shots Carolina Labor Day Classic. She is a super quick guard & was able to get to the rim with ease over the weekend. In the title game H2Lowco defeated Pumas 52-36. It was a close game in the first half until Hutchinson turned it up a notch. She picked it up on the offensive end, especially in transition. Teammate Devon Yarde was also a standout in the division, finishing 3rd in the division in scoring. Yarde averaged over 11 ppg and scored it on multiple levels. These two were a hard duo to stop for opponents as they were able to score it in many ways.

Another Standout in the division was Olivia Miller of Athletes Lab. The 5'10 F is in the class of 2022 and was a scoring machine at Big Shots Carolina Labor Day Classic. She had the highest scoring game in the girls division and did it twice. Miller poured in 20 points on two occasions and both came against ABC Lightning. She was second in the entire division in scoring with 14.7 points per game.
