Virginia Beach Live | 16U | Day 1 Standouts

 

Robby Matos | Team Marsh-Churchwell (VES)

Matos finished with 21 points, 15 in the second half to lead the offensive attack as Team Marsh-Churchwell. He's a strong guard with a knack for getting to the rim.

Jessie Mitchell | Strong Center 2023

Mitchell's shooting stroke was on full display as he knocked down four 3-pointers including three back-to-back to open the second half of play while putting up 22 points to finish second in  the 16U Orange Division for the day.

Collin Kuhl | Strong Center 2023

Kuhl is an emerging name with Strong Center's squad in NC's 2023 class. He posted 12 of his 18 points in the second half, showing off his ability to shoot the ball and get to the rim and finish with authority.

Aidan Gallagher | PSB DMV Elite

Gallagher is a sizeable name to know in the PSB DMV Elite rotation at 6-foot-4. He finished with 20 points including four 3-pointers to pace the offensive scoring on the perimeter.

Shombe Jackson | Team Marsh-Churchwell

Jackson is a crafty combo guard to keep an eye on. He put up 11 points, all in the second half in Team Marsh-Churchwell's opening victory on Day 1.

Donald Bullard | OTOD

Bullard was a top performer on Day 1 with 18 points in OTOD's victory over Higher Level Premier. He's a prospect to watch this weekend.

Nigel Clarkson | Team Marsh-Churchwell (Cosby)

Clarkson is a versatile threat to watch at 6-foot-5 that can knock down shots on the perimeter and block shots with a ton of presence in the paint.

Stylz Gardner | Team Loaded 757 Lusk

Gardner was impressive in Team Loaded 757 Lusk's victory with 17 points. He's a Day 1 leader to keep an eye on after a strong game.

Jaron Walker Jr. | Big Shots Elite Virginia Nets

Walker looked good as one of the primary scorers in the Virginia Nets rotation. He had 17 points on Day 1.

Lawrence Cole Jr.  | Big Shots Elite Virginia Nets

Cole looked comfortable with other weapons on the floor at Big Shots Virginia Live. He finished with 16 points on Day 1. 

Stark Jones II } Big Shots Elite Virginia Nets

Jones was impressive as a late addition to the Virginia Nets rotation. He posted 18 points on Day 1 in their victory.

Luke Fisher | Team Richmond

Fisher led the way in Team Richmond's opening victory with 21 points, showing off his ability to shoot and attack off the bounce.

Taeveon Wilson | Team Loaded CVA

Wilson led the way with 10 points in Team Loaded CVA's Day 1 victory. He's an athletic prospect to watch.

Kameron Roberts | Team Loaded CVA

Roberts was a force in Team Loaded CVA's all-around team victory against Carolina Explosion. He finished with nine points and showed off his rebounding ability.

Bryce Epps | ESF 16U Epps

Epps was impressive getting to the bucket and knocking down shots for ESF 16U Epps. He put up 17 points on Day 1.

Corey Harper | ESF 16U Epps

Harper led the way in ESF 16U Epps easy win with 18 points, showing off his ability to operate off the bounce and off the catch.

Brody Davis | ESF 16U Epps

Davis was another prospect in ESF 16U Epps rotation to keep an eye on. He finished with 11 points on Day 1 in their victory.

Mekhi Connor | Gibson Way Skills Academy

Connor led the way with 23 points in Gibson Way Skills Academy's Day 1 victory, showing off his ability to get downhill and finish through contact.

Timuary Gay | Gibson Way Skills Academy

Gay was another standout in the Gibson Way Skills Academy rotation with 14 points in their Day 1 win. He's a wiry 6-foot-3 prospect to keep eyes on this weekend.
