Big Shots South Carolina Jam: 16U All Stars

Mitchell & Cole lead the way as Big Shots Elite Virginia Nets take down M24 Legends in the 16U title game.

Spartanburg, SC- Big Shots South Carolina Jam was another standout event held at the Upward Stars Center. This was another exceptional event in South Carolina that was full of sleepers and high level talent.

The dynamic duo of Lawrence Cole & Elijah Mitchell led Big Shots Elite Virginia Nets to another 16U title. The Nets defeated M24 Legends in a nail bitter 65-64 to capture the win. This is back to back tournament titles for Big Shots Elite Virginia Nets. Cole & Mitchell continued their hot streak. Mitchell finished with the second highest scoring average in the division at 21.3 PPG. He was lighting it up from the perimeter, and blowing past his defender with ease. The 6'4 Forward is one of the elite players in his class & he continues to have a breakout summer. Cole is an elite combo guard, and makes this Nets team click on all cylinders. He controls the pace, and facilitates well while also scoring the ball at a high level. Mitchell attacks the paint aggressively & can shoot it from deep. This duo has been one of the best all season at Big Shots.

Ricky Minard III for M24 Legends was another standout in the division. He is a super quick lefty guard that had his way scoring the ball. He led all scorers in the division with 22.3 PPG. His play in the championship game was special, pouring in 29 points. He single handedly helped his team have a chance within the final seconds. Minard III is crafty with the ball and makes plays off the bounce. He is a 5'11 combo guard in the class of 2023.
