Virginia Beach, VA-  Big Shots Virginia Beach Jam was another standout event. This year's event was packed with over 140 teams in the newly built Virginia Beach Sports Center.

Malachi Washington led the way as Team Loaded Bowman defeated Nova Suns 60-59 in one of the closest games of the tournament to win the 17U Blue title. It was a nail biter as the game came down to the final seconds to declare a winner, but in the end Team Loaded escaped with the victory. Washington was consistent all tournament with his scoring and rebounding ability. He lead his team in scoring for the tournament, and found ways to impact the game on both ends. He is a lengthy, athletic forward who has a constant motor. Washington is a 6'5 forward in the class of 22'.

Ryan Maier was another name that stood out in the division with his explosive scoring ability. The 5'10 combo guard out of West Virginia put on a clinic averaging more than 22 PPG. Maier was also very eye opening on the defensive end. He can score in a multitude of ways, and it showed as he lead the entire division in scoring. The under recruited WV guard is having a breakout spring and he looks to continue hot streak into the summer.
