Take a look at the Top 15 standouts from Big Shots Nationals in the 17U division.

1. Brandon Murray - 6’3 Guard - 2021 - Playmaker Academy

Led the division in scoring with 30.7 ppg and 92 points across three games, scored a game-winner and sent the game to sudden death overtime in his final game, high level scoring guard with a lot of strength to go with his game

2. Terquavion Smith - 6’3 Guard - 2021 - Tea Marie Hoops

NC State commit put on a show once again this weekend, showing off his game as a three-level scorer and all-around defender; 24.0 ppg and nine made 3-pointers on the weekend

3. Jonas Aidoo - 7’0 Forward - 2021 - Team Curry

Showed off his ability to play inside and out, knocked down 3’s with ease, averaged 14.5 ppg on the weekend, two big 20-point games on the weekend earned him some high-major offers

4. Brandon Huntley-Hatfield - 6’9 Forward - 2022 - B Maze Elite

Top overall prospect in the event. Battled throughout the weekend, showing off his ability to play physical on both ends, 17.0 ppg, high major plus prospect. ESPN No. 7 2022.

5. Dontrez Styles - 6’7 Forward - 2021 - Tea Marie Hoops

North Carolina commit Styles made an appearance along Terquavion Smith and Bobby Pettiford Jr. and showed his 3-level scoring ability; finished with 21 points. 

6. Jamarii Thomas - 6’0 Point Guard - 2021 - Team Curry

Held his own against some top prospects as the floor general for Team Curry; defended and distributed the basketball a high level; 11.5 ppg. Top 2021 PG performer in the event. 

7. Jaylen Curry - 5’11 Guard - 2023 - Team Carolina

Finished in a tie for first in the division in 3-pointers made with 11, averaged 22.0 ppg across the weekend with some top performances throughout

8. Bobby Pettiford - 6’1 Point Guard - 2021 - Tea Marie Hoops

Played alongside two other ACC-commits and showed he can run the show and do what he needs to to adjust to the situation; impressive high-major prospect headed to Louisville

9. Javian Cannady - 6’1 Point Guard - 2021 - Team Hickory

Top performer all weekend long for Team Hickory. Floor general that can play above the rim and leads by example. 22.3 ppg and 9 made 3-pointers over three contests.

10. Jay Mitchell - 6’2 Guard/Wing - 2021 - Basketpoint USA

High flyer on both ends of the floor, fearless defender, raw talent that averaged 20.3 ppg on an undefeated Basketpoint USA squad

11. Abrahm Driver - 6’6 Forward - 2022 - 24 Elite

Bruiser in the post that likes to work early for position and make his presence felt, averaged 20.7 ppg and finished fourth in the division in total points (62)

12. Zach Rosenthall - 5’10 Guard - 2021 - Big Shots Elite WV

Finished fifth in the division in scoring average with 21.5 ppg, came up big with 23 points and seven made 3-pointers in a victory over Carolina Pressure Basketball, sharpshooter on the perimeter

13. Logan Threatt - 6’2 Guard - 2021 - Team Curry

Stepped up big with a 14-point and 15-point performance with a combined four 3-pointers in Team Curry’s 4-0 run at Big Shots Nationals; underrated guard in North Carolina

14. Nygie Stroman - 6’6 Forward -  2021 - Flight 22 Elite UA Rise

Frontcourt presence that made his presence felt all weekend long, averaged 11.0 ppg, sleeper prospect in the 2021 class in North Carolina

15. JP Haggarty - 6’5 Guard/Wing - 2021 - PSB Elite

Confident scoring guard on all three levels, averaged 17.5 ppg while shooting an efficient 65 percent on the weekend
