North Carolina Rankings: A Look at 10 Prospects to Watch in the 2023 Class

Take an early look at some names to keep an eye on in North Carolina's 2023 class.

#1 Caleb Foster - 6'4 Guard - Hickory Ridge

Caleb Foster is a top name to watch at Hickory Ridge High School. He put up 16.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game in the rotation in 2019-20 an his squad went 21-6 on the season and 12-2 in conference action. He's got a ready-made frame already at 6-foot-4 and debuted this past weekend on the floor with Team Curry's 17U squad. He's gotten attention from ACC schools on the recruiting trail already with offers from Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

#2 Robert Dillingham - 5'11 Guard - Combine Academy

Robert Dillingham is a shifty combo guard with quite the skillset already at Combine Academy. He does well to create for himself in isolation already on all three levels and has a high IQ for making plays for others. As he gets stronger and grows over the next few seasons, he's a guard in North Carolina's 2023 class that has a chance to be very good. He holds an offer already from Wichita State.

#3 Treymane Parker - 6'3 Wing/Guard - Cape Fear

Treymane Parker is a bouncy guard prospect at Cape Fear High School that had quite the debut season in the lineup. He averaged 16.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 3.0 steals per contest showing off his ability to operate on the perimeter and in the paint. He shot 42 percent from the field and 32 percent from 3-point range as his squad went 19-6 on the year and 12-4 in conference action. He'll be a name to keep an eye on.

#4 Ta'Korrie Faison - 6'5 Forward - Goldsboro

Ta'Korrie Faison played a pivotal role in Goldsboro's run to the Eite 8 of the NCHSAA State Tournament and put up 14.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game in 2019-20. He's a strong, athletic forward that's a burden in the post and developing as an outside shooter. With his nice length and developing skill set, he's got a chance to be very good in this class.

#5 Aden Holloway - 5'11 Point Guard - Covenant Day

Aden Holloway is a crafty point guard at Covenant Day that had quite the productive freshman season. He put up 18.0 points, 3.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game, shooting 46 percent from the field and 42 percent (72-of-173) from 3-point range. He had some notable performances throughout the season, including 32 points on six made 3-pointers in a loss to Cannon School and 30 points on four made 3-pointers against Manning. He's an early floor general to put on the radar with an offer already from Syracuse.

#6 Addison Archer - 6'7 Forward - Chase

Addison Archer is a forward prospect to keep watch on given what he can do on the floor. He posted 16.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game for Chase High School in 2019-20. As he learns to make an impact on an even more consistent basis, he's a prospect with scary potential in this class. He put up a 35-point, 15-rebound outing against Owen with seven rebounds coming on the offensive boards. He posted 10 double-doubles as a freshman and that's likely a number that will grow in 2020-21.

#7 Jaydon Young - 6'3 Guard/Wing - Greensboro Day

Jaydon Young is an athletic prospect that grew into his role at Greensboro Day School in 2019-20. He's a versatile player that can play and defend multiple positions and does a lot that doesn't show up on the stat sheet. He uses his on-ball pressure on defense to turn it into easy offense on the break often. As his game grows in the halfcourt, so should his recruitment.

#8 Isaiah Washington - 6'3 Wing/Guard - Pine Forest

Isaiah Washington is an emerging prospect at Pine Forest after leading the team in scoring and rebounding in 2019-20 as a freshman. He put up 15.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.8 steals, 1.6 assists per game as one of the leaders on a growing squad in the Fayetteville area. He's due to have a solid career as he develops in their rotation with his athleticism and length at 6-foot-3.

#9 Mehki Grant - 6'9 Forward - Combine Academy

Mehki Grant is a versatile prospect at 6-foot-9 that can operate in the post and on the perimeter with his nice shooting touch. He makes plays at the rim on both ends and knows how to make his presence felt. As he learns to play with consistency on both ends using his length and athleticism, he's a prospect to look out for in this class. He holds offers already from NC State and Wichita State.

#10 Donovan Raymond - 6'7 Forward/Center - West Charlotte

Donovan Raymond is a forward prospect that's slowly learning how to make an impact on the floor with his size at 6-foot-7. He averaged 7.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in his debut season at West Charlotte in 2019-20. He put together some solid games in the post and on occasion, showed off his double-figure scoring ability in the paint. As he learns to use his length to his advantage and stay out of foul trouble, he'll be a name to keep an eye on in North Carolina's 2023 class.
