Catching Up with the hottest PG in SC 2021 Joshua Beadle

Joshua Beadle is an athletic combo guard with a fantastic basketball IQ in the SC 2021 class. His game is well put together and plays well beyond his years. Beadle is a playmaker off the bounce and is capable of hitting shots at all levels. Around the rim, Beadle is explosive and looking to finish plays in a highlight fashion. The Cardinal Newman junior currently holds offers from Clemson, Wake Forest, Saint Louis, VCU, USC Upstate, Charleston, Charleston Southern, Furman, Elon, ETSU, Presbyterian, NC A&T, and UNCW. Joshua earned Co-MVP honors at the Big Shots SC Top 150 last year where he put up 29 points in game 1 of the camp. Beadle is a stud and will have an opportunity to bring a lot of value to a college program.

We had a chance to catch up with Joshua Beadle and hear more about his recruitment, what he is looking for in a school, and his development as a player.

Question: How has the recruiting process been and which schools are showing you the most interest?

Joshua Beadle: “The recruiting process has been exciting. A lot of schools have reached out and a lot have offered which is even more exciting. It’s hard to say what schools have been showing the most interest because not all schools recruit the same, not every school calls everyday or even every week to say they’re still interested and that’s just how they do things.”

Question: What qualities are you looking for in your potential college coach and program?

Beadle: “Some qualities I’m looking for in my potential college coaches and program are a family oriented culture, involved coaches who have a history of developing players as well as coaches that’s known to make pros. Some things I look for in the school specifically is a good business school because that’s what I want to major in as of right now.”

Question: How would you describe your game on the court?

Beadle: “I think my game is a fast paced game that is scored at all 3 levels. I’d describe it as an athletic combo guard that’s also versatile.”

Question: In what areas of your game would you like to improve as you prepare for the next level?

Beadle: “I’m going to improve my game with my right hand and going right. And being a more consistent shooter.”

Question: Who is your favorite player to study and why?

Beadle: “My favorite player to study is Lou Williams because we’re around the same size. He's 6’1 and I’m 6’3. We both don’t weigh much but he can still get the ball in the basket. He scores at all 3 levels as well.”

Question: How has playing in Big Shots events helped your player development and recruitment?

Beadle: “Playing in Big Shots events has helped much because they always give credit where it’s due writing articles about players that stand out as well as being able to get other talented players under the same roofs playing against each other.”

We look forward to keeping up with Joshua and continuing to follow his progression as a very talented player in SC’s 2021 class.
