2020 Chance Harman Classic Day 2: Top 10 Performers

Here's a look at the Top 10 performers from Day 2 of the Chance Harman Classic.

1. 2020 forward Tyson Brown, Massanutten Military Academy

Massanutten Military Academy forward Tyson Brown had a strong game against Huntington Prep's Regional club in an 80-54 victory. Brown put on a show in the final game of the 2020 Chance Harman Classic, with 40 points on 19-of-25 shooting and 1-of-1 shooting from 3 to go along with 14 rebounds and two steals in a big win over Huntington Prep's Regional squad. He's an active force on the hardwood with his ability to attack the rim and run the wing at 6-foot-9. He holds offers from Holy Cross, Robert Morris, Fairfield and Towson while generating interest from some other Division I programs.

2. 2020 forward Dean Reiber, NW Guilford

The NW Guilford Vikings got a much better performance from Rutgers commit Dean Reiber in their 77-75 over Northside on Day 2 of the Chance Harman Classic. Reiber put up yet another double-double with 27 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks, with 18 of his 27 points coming in the second half. He took control of the paint down the stretch, going 10-of-13 from inside the arc as NW Guilford got a victory on the second day. 

3. 2020 Guard Jordan Wooden, Northside

The Northside Vikings got a big outing from 2020 guard Jordan Wooden in their backcourt. The versatile wing posted 27 points, 11 rebounds (6 offensive) and three assists in Northside's two-point loss. Wooden had a strong performance down the stretch for Northside to keep things close against their North Carolina opponent. He made three 3-pointers and stayed active in the paint throughout the game. His double-double showed he's finding consistency with making an impact when he's on the hardwood. 

4. 2021 guard Mike Gray, Blue Ridge School

2021 combo guard Mike Gray had a much stronger performance for the Blue Ridge School as they got a 68-34 win over Victory Rock Prep (FL). Gray showed off his efficiency as a scorer and distributor on Day 2 of the Chance Harman Classic with 20 points and seven assists on 7-of-13 shooting from the field. He shot 3-of-5 from 3-point land and also snagged two steals in the victory, showing his prowess as an on-ball defender on the opposite end. Gray holds offers from Cincinnati, Old Dominion, Virginia Tech, James Madison and Hampton.

5. 2020 forward Parker Huffman, Cave Spring

Christopher Newport University has quite the commit in 2020 forward Parker Huffman. Huffman finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Cave Spring Knights in their 64-47 win over the Blacksburg Bruins on Day 2 of the Chance Harman Classic. He showed off his skill set as a midrange shooter and rim-runner in the Knights victory. He'll be a solid addition for CNU at the next level.

6. 2023 forward Brock Vice, Blacksburg

2023 forward Brock Vice was another one of those young prospects that had a standout performance in the 2020 Chance Harman Classic. Vice posted 25 points, 19 rebounds and three blocks off the bench for the Bruins despite their 17-point loss. He's a 6-foot-10 stretch forward prospect with tons of potential all over the floor. He'll be an interesting player to watch develop in the New River Valley.

7. 2022 guard James Wilkins III, Calvary Day School

2022 guard James Wilkins III had solid game in the backcourt for the Calvary Day School Cougars. He produced 17 points and seven assists, including the game-winning layup as time expired to give his team a 71-69 victory. Wilkins and company came out a bit flat in the second half, but they maintained their composure on the final possession of the game to give themselves a two-point victory. He's a crafty point guard prospect to keep an eye on in North Carolina's 2022 class.

8. 2020 point guard Manrique Alvarado, Freedom Christian

Manrique Alvarado is an unsigned senior in North Carolina's 2020 class with some talent in his game at Freedom Christian Academy. Alvarado put together a stat line of 11 points and 11 rebounds in Freedom Christian's 62-44 victory over Cape Henry Collegiate. He uses his speed and quickness well at 5-foot-11 to maneuver through the defense and make things happen when the ball touches his hands.

9. 2021 forward Javon Floyd, Calvary Day School

2021 forward Javon Floyd's 14 points, seven rebounds and three blocks were another big factor in Calvary Day School's win over Roanoke Catholic. Floyd was another key cog for the Cougars in their victory with his play in the frontcourt. He came up with three key blocks before it was all said and done. He uses his length well at 6-foot-7 and is the most effective when protecting the rim. 

10. 2022 guard Jack Faulkner, Roanoke Catholic

The Roanoke Catholic trailed by as many as 17 points in the third quarter, but they never gave up while led by 2022 guard Jack Faulkner. Faulkner finished with 17 points, five rebounds and two steals in their 71-69 loss to Calvary Day School. He made 4-of-7 3-point attempts, showing off his ability to create beyond the perimeter. He'll be a young floor general guard to keep eyes on as the seasons progress.
