1. 2021 guard Daniel Jones, Teays Valley Christian

The Teays Valley Christian Lions got a big outing from 2021 guard Daniel Jones in their 57-50 win over the Blue Ridge School. Jones poured in 33 points on 12-of-16 shooting from the floor, putting up 16 in the first half and 17 in the second en route to a solid win over a much bigger squad. He showed poise getting to the rim off the dribble and was oozing with confidence as he finished a few times with dunks off the dribble drive. His game has really come along since last seeing him over the summer with Boo Williams. He'll be a prospect to keep an eye at 6-foot-6 with length and athleticism.

2. 2021 guard Cam Cormany, Radford

The Radford Bobcats had an easy time defeating the Liberty Minutemen 53-38, thanks to a strong shooting display from 2021 guard Cam Cormany. Cormany went off for 29 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the 3-point line to power the Bobcats to their 10th victory of the season. They remain unbeaten with Cormany leading the charge at the lead guard position. The 6-foot junior has teammates that fed him the ball early and often as he put up 14 of his 29 in the first half then made five 3-pointers to boost his total by the end of the game. He's quite the shot creator off the dribble and does well to get open and get his shot off when the ball comes his way.

3. 2021 point guard Kevin Miller Jr., Victory Rock Prep

Victory Rock Prep (FL) got a big win over the Northwest Guilford Vikings thanks to a big performance from point guard Kevin Miller Jr.. Miller got to the rim whenever he could, finishing with 28 points, seven assists, four rebounds and two steals while shooting 10-of-16 from the floor. He didn't show any fear getting to the paint off the dribble despite his height (5-foot-9). He even went 7-of-9 from the free-throw line as well as the Blue Devils took home a 80-75 victory on Day 1. 

4. 2022 guard Isaiah Griffin, Gretna

The Gretna Hawks opened the 2020 Chance Harman Classic with quite the defensive game thanks to 2022 guard Isaiah Griffin. The Hawks trailed by five points at halftime but they turned things up on the defensive end behind Griffin's two-way exploits and found a way to victory 59-48 over the James River Knights. Griffin posted 17 points, 14 rebounds, seven steals and four assists, standing out on both ends with his ability to pressure the basketball and get to the paint. Six of his 14 rebounds came on the offensive end as well. He's an emerging guard to keep an eye on at the combo guard spot.

5. 2020 point guard Christian Hampton, NW Guilford 

The Northwest Guilford Vikings didn't get a victory in their opening game of the Chance Harman Classic, but they got a strong outing from point guard Christian Hampton in the 5-point loss. Hampton produced 24 points, seven assists, four steals and three rebounds to lead the way scoring and in assists despite the result. He showed his strength defending the basketball and getting to the rim and by the end of things, he shot 10-of-13 from the free-throw line.  He'll be an unsigned senior track for the reason of the season at NW Guilford.

6. 2022 guard Ethan Millirons, Auburn

Auburn High School has quite the gem in combo guard Ethan Millirons. Millirons was impressive in the Eagles 59-32 victory over the Eastside Spartans with 17 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals. He's a crafty guard at 6-foot-2 that can create for himself and others on all three levels as he also shot 4-of-7 from the 3-point line. He'll be a young guard to keep an eye on in the Southwest Virginia region.

7. 2020 forward/center Mohomadou Mbow, Victory Rock

6-foot-9 forward Mohomadou Mbow was another top performer in Victory Rocky's close victory over NW Guilford. He posted a double-double in the win with 15 points and 12 rebounds in the game. He's a long and athletic forward that finished at the rim when given opportunities. As he improves his defense, he'll be an unsigned senior to watch at Victory Rock Prep.

8. 2020 forward Dean Reiber, NW Guilford

2020 forward Dean Reiber showed flashes of his Division 1 game despite the result for Northwest Guilford. He finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block in their game against Victory Rock. He made good things happen when the ball touched his hands while operating all over the floor on both ends. When he caught the ball in the paint, it's basically a done deal what's going to happen: a two-handed dunk. He finishes like a man amongst boys in the paint and will be fun to watch in the development process at Rutgers University.

9. 2021 guard/forward Mekhi Reeves, Gretna

2021 forward Mekhi Reeves was another impressive prospect from Gretna High School. Reeves is a 6-foot-5 versatile prospect that can operate on the perimeter and down low to make things happen. He finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and three assists along with four blocks on the defensive end to give his squad a lift on both ends. He showed leadership from a vocal standpoint and example standpoint by handling the basketball down the stretch and defending in the paint. He'll be another prospect to keep an eye on 

10. 2023 shooting guard Ryan Steger, James River

There weren't many freshman prospects that stood out on Day 1 of the 2020 Chance Harman Classic quite like 2023 shooting guard James Steger. Steger led the James River Knights' offense in scoring with 16 points on four made 3-pointers. He shot the ball at volume and with confidence, though things could have gone better for him in the second half. He's a young prospect to track early at James River High School.
