Here's a look at the top performers from the opening day of the 2019 Governor's Challenge.

1. 2020 guard Ethan Wilson, Osbourn Park

Osbourn Park's Ethan Wilson was the top performer of the day in the 2019 Governor's Challenge with 38 points and nine rebounds for his squad. Wilson led all scorers in the game while shooting 11-of-20 from the field and going 13-of-16 from the free-throw line. He's an unsigned senior guard out of Virginia that colleges need to get eyes on.

2. 2020 guard Tyreese Watson, Monsignor Bonner

Monsignor Bonner got a victory to close out Day 1 of the 2019 Governor's Challenge and 2020 guard Tyreese Watson led the way with 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists. He led the team in points, rebounds and assists in their 81-71 victory over Olympic and showed off his guard skills at 6-foot-2. He holds an offer from Rider.

3. 2020 guard Tyriel Collins, St. John's Catholic Prep

St. John's Catholic Prep guard Tyriel Collins was a model of consistency for the Vikings with 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field and 4-of-6 shooting from 3-point land in their 58-52 victory over Huntingtown. He's a solid combo guard that can fill it up with efficiency.

4. 2022 forward Brock Davis, Georgetown Day School

The youth movement was in full effect for Georgetown Day School in their 68-49 victory over Stephen Decatur. 2022 forward Brock Davis held his own for a near triple-double, finishing with 20 points, 11 rebounds and seven steals in their win. He's a 6-foot-5 forward with tons of ability on the perimeter and in the paint.

5. 2020 guard Josh Banks, Olympic

Olympic didn't get a win to open the Governor's Challenge but VCU bound guard Josh Banks showed off his stuff with a game-high 28 points and seven rebounds. He shot 12-of-18 from the field and 3-of-7 from behind the arc, showing off his prowess as a high-level scorer. He's a wiry guard that can score it from all three levels.

6. 2020 forward Jy'Heim Spencer, Dover

Dover Senators forward Jy'Heim Spencer was the consummate paint protector in their victory over Wicomico High School with 14 points, 12 rebounds and nine blocks. Spencer showed off his length at 6-foot-8 and did well to show that he at least deserves some looks from college coaches.

7. 2020 guard Sean Lang, Linganore

Linganore got a close victory over Osbourn Park and a lot of it had to do with 2020 guard Sean Lang. Lang put up 19 points and eight rebounds in their 68-61 win, shooting with efficiency from the field and going a perfect 2-of-2 from the 3-point line. He's a 6-foot-3 guard with a nice feel for the game on the hardwood and did well to pace his squad in a win.

8. 2021 forward Tyrell Harris, Potomac

Potomac (VA) forward Tyrell Harris is a versatile prospect at 6-foot-6  with his ability to operate in the mid-range and rebound the basketball. He finished with 19 points and four rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting from the field. He's a junior prospect that college coaches need to put on their radar.

9. 2020 forward Amir Williams, Linden

Linden forward Amir Williams held his own in the paint for his squad in a 56-52 win over Bowie High School. Williams finished with 10 points and nine rebounds (3 offensive) as one of the bright spots for his team. He was a sizeable problem in the post at 6-foot-4 and used his length well to make a difference.

10. 2022 guard Kyle Honore, Potomac

Potomac guard Kyle Honore didn't let his classification slow him down against Oakdale and came up with big buckets to offset their opponent's late rally. The sophomore guard finished with 14 points, two rebounds and two steals on 5-of-10 shooting from the field and 2-of-4 shooting from the 3-point line. He's another young prospect for colleges to keep an eye on.
