1. Kaden Metheny, University

Bowling Green commit Kaden Metheny put on quite the show this past weekend in the inaugural Big Shots Country Roads Tip Off. In the opening game, Metheny dropped 31 points on seven made 3-pointers to boost the University Hawks to a 93-63 victory over Greater Beckley Christian. His scoring and distributing was key in their big win to start the 2019-20 season in their home gym. He took home Player of the Game honors as he was virtually unstoppable from behind the arc and going to the rim.

In their game on Saturday night against Poca, he was electric once again, putting up 25 points, getting to the rack and showing off his ability as a finisher at the rim a lot more in a 74-49 victory. With their season off to a 2-0 start, Metheny and his backcourt mate, K.J. McClurg, are looking stronger than ever.

2. K.J. McClurg, University

2020 guard K.J. McClurg was another standout from University High School thanks to his ability to make plays for teammates, get to the rim and finish out close games. McClurg came out hot in their opening game scoring 11 of his 15 total points in the first quarter against Greater Beckley Christian. He's a key piece in the backcourt alongside Metheny for the Hawks.

He dished out eight assists in their second game against Poca and put up 16 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter. The Hawks cruised to a 74-49 win in that one. McClurg holds an offer from Navy, who was in attendance for both of his performances this past weekend.

3. Xavier Pryor, Morgantown

Morgantown Mohicans guard Xavier Pryor was a standout guard in West Virginia's 2021 class from an all-around standpoint. The 6-foot-1 guard was active on the ball and a key to his team's 11-0 run to start their first game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He finished with 16 points in the team's 96-44 win. 12 of his 16 points came in the first half of the game as Morgantown led 45-24.

In the second game, Pryor was a facilitator more than a scorer as he looked to get teammates involved against Spring Valley. He finished with 11 points while seeing teammate Carson Poffenberger lead the scoring with 17 points.

Pryor is one to watch at Morgantown High School in the state of West Virginia.

4. Daniel Ntambwe, Beckley Prep IJN

Beckley Prep IJN has a lot to look forward to in 2023 forward Daniel Ntambwe. Ntambwe took home Player of the Game honors in IJN's 75-68 win over Life Christian Academy in their lone appearance in the Big Shots Country Roads Tip Off. He was one of three scorers from his team to finish with 17 points and he stood out in the second quarter with big plays on the glass and in the paint.

Ntambwe will be one young prospect to watch alongside 2023 forward Debaba Tshiebwe, who had eight points in the game. As they develop their games, they should be a load for opponents on the interior. Ntambwe did a little bit of everything in the contest, creating off the dribble and he wasn't shy about shooting the ball, either.

5. Carson Poffenberger, Morgantown

2021 forward Carson Poffenberger is another member of the 2021 class in West Virginia to keep an eye on at Morgantown High School. Poffenberger did his work on the glass in both games to get points and it paid off for him, especially in their second game on Day 2.

Poffenberger took home Player of the Game honors in their contest against Spring Valley with 17 points and a number of rebounds on both ends to go along with a big 82-60 victory, the Mohicans' second win in the Big Shots Country Roads Tip Off. He's a 6-foot-7 forward that battles inside for position in the post and isn't shy about crashing the offensive glass for touches. He'll be another player to watch in Morgantown's rotation.

6. Robertas Jonaitis, Beckley Prep IJN

2020 wing/forward Robertas Jonaitis was another standout player for Beckley Prep IJN. He was instant offense off the bench, scoring 11 points in the first quarter against Life Christian. Jonaitis scored off the bounce in a variety of ways in IJN's close victory over the Eagles. He was another player who finished with 17 points for their offense.

7. Logan Washington, Life Christian Academy

6-foot-8 forward Logan Washington was a standout performer in the frontcourt for the Life Christian Academy Eagles. In their victory over Greater Beckley Christian, Washington stood out with his ability to run the floor and compete on the boards. He showed nice touch finishing around the rim and had a big dunk in the second quarter. He also showed a nice touch on a made 3-pointer, his lone attempt of the game.

Washington didn't hesitate to put the ball on the floor and handle if things got tight either. He played well, posting 16 points on his way to Player of the Game honors. He's an unsigned senior prospect in the state of Virginia worth a few looks.

8. Nate Vance, Poca

2020 forward Nate Vance was one of the positive takeaways from Poca High's tough loss against University High School. Vance was a solid performer despite the result as he finished with 12 points and with a number of big rebounds when he was in the game. He battled through foul trouble for part of the game but still managed to find a way to be effective and stay on the floor.

Vance will be a post presence to keep an eye on on the interior for Poca High School this season. The unsigned senior has a solid wingspan for a prospect of his size at roughly 6-foot-5 and isn't afraid to protect the paint. He's also got a nice set of post moves.

9. C.J. Meredith, Spring Valley

2021 wing C.J. Meredith was a consistent force on the offensive end for the Spring Valley Timberwolves despite the loss. He opened the first quarter with seven points and finished the game with 25 points and five made 3-pointers. He showed off his ability to shoot at volume and the results made for a top performance in the end.

Meredith never gave up and kept battling until the end of the game. He holds an offer from Potomac State.

10. Elijah Edwards, Greater Beckley Christian

Elijah Edwards and his Greater Beckley Christian squad didn't come away with any victories in the Big Shots Country Roads Tip Off, but Edwards played big against University to keep his team in the game.

He drained six 3-pointers en route to a 27-point performance against the Hawks, with three made 3-pointers in the first quarter and three in the second half of the game. The 5-foot-9  senior guard showed off his range in a variety of ways for the Crusaders. He's an unsigned prospect to keep an eye on.
