Here's a look at the matchups and prospects to watch on Friday.

Morgantown vs. Notre dame - 6:30 PM

The Morgantown Mohigans enter their meeting with Notre Dame High School with a record of 2-0 and a trio of talent in 2020 point guard Alex Rudy, 2020 shooting Mac McMillen and 2021 forward Max Washington. Rudy is a heady guard that can shoot the 3-ball and run the offense. He's a sharp passer that has weapons like McMillen and Washington on the hardwood to rely on as they look to make another run to states. McMillen is a defensive-minded guard with a high IQ that competes. Washington is a forward that can get above the rim and make things happen.

On the Notre Dame side, they're led by 2022 guard Jaidyn West, who scored 42 points in their season-opener against Preston on Wednesday. 2021 forward Elijah Goodman is another prospect to keep an eye on in the frontcourt with his high motor and ability to stretch the floor.

University vs. Greater Beckley Christian - 8:00 PM

The hometown University Hawks open the season against Greater Beckley Christian in the second game of the night. They're led by Bowling Green commit Kaden Metheny, 2020 guard K.J. McClurg, 2020 sharpshooter J.R. Mazza, 2020 big man Michael Maumbe and 2021 forward Ryan Niceler. The Hawks are an electric group led by their dynamic backcourt of Metheny and McClurg and won last year's WVSSAC 3A State Championship. They'll look to start their 2019-20 season off with a bang against a tough Greater Beckley Christian squad.

Greater Beckley Christian enters the game undefeated at 1-0 already. Seniors Thaddeus Jordan and Elijah Edwards led the way in their first victory with 18 points and 15 points respectively. Jordan is a lefty wing that can score it on all three levels. 2021 guard Aleksa Trifkovic is also one to keep an eye on. He posted 10 points in their season-opener.
