On Saturday, Nov. 30, there's another action-packed field of teams competing, including the Buckets Brand Championship game. Here's a look at what games and prospects to keep an eye out for.
The Burlington School (4-2) and United Faith Christian Academy (6-0) will face off in what should be a solid matchup between two talented squads. For Burlington School, they've got Rice commit Mylyjael Poteat, Wichita State commit Ja'Dun Michael and Kuluel Mading (2021), a prospect with offers from Clemson, Elon, Radford among others. For United Faith Christian Academy, they've got Western Carolina commit Joshua Massey, point guard Cedric Patterson and sharpshooter Mike Dudley Jr. (2021). Those are just a few names to keep an eye on.
Charlotte Latin returns in Day 2 of the Charlotte Hoops Challenge to face the Hickory Grove Christian Lions (4-1). The Lions are a tough squad led by the play of 2021 wing A.J. Smith. Smith is putting up 28.5 points per game along with 8.2 rebounds per contest so far in 2019-20. He's also got 2021 guard Charles Stinson and 2022 guard D.J. Cuttino producing behind him as well. It should be another challenging contest for Charlotte Latin.
Concord First Assembly (7-1) has hit the ground running in 2019-20 led by 2021 wing Trae Benham, Youngstown State commit Cheick Traore and Furman commit Garrett Hien. Benham has posted 20.3 points per game so far, leading Concord First Assembly in scoring. They'll have their hands full with Independence' guards Anthony Allen (2020) and Nygell Verdier (2020) and forward Omarion Bodrick (2021). Look for both teams to bring their track shoes and push the pace their way.
Cannon School is another squad that's returning for Day 2 of action. They'll bring their trio of Jaden Bradley, DJ Nix and Jarvis Moss along for the ride on Saturday when they face Ardrey Kell (3-0). 2020 shooting guard Luke Stankavage has been a burden to guard, producing 23.5 points per contest so far this season. He'll be one to stop for Cannon School. 2020 forward Davidson Hubbard has been a double-double nightmare as well, putting up 22.0 points and 13.5 rebounds per contest. It will be interesting to see how these two teams compete against each other.
