1. DJ Hand, Landstown

DJ Hand is an emerging combo guard with length at 6-foot-4 in Virginia's 2022 class. He had a strong freshman season at Landstown and is due to follow in the footsteps of his father and UVA legend, Donald Hand. Hand  put up 12.0 points per game in 2018-19 and already holds offers from Hampton, James Madison, Penn State and Old Dominion.

2. Justin Taylor, STAB

Justin Taylor is a sharpshooting slasher at St. Anne's-Belfield School that's climbing up the radar. He's another shooting guard prospect with nice length at 6-foot-5. He can knock it down from deep and can also get to the rim and finish with authority. Taylor put up 13.3 points on 47 percent shooting from 3-point range as a freshman. He holds offers from Old Dominion, James Madison and Liberty as well.

3. Efrem Johnson, Western Branch

Efrem Johnson is a 6-foot-3 shooting guard with a stocky build he puts to good use on both ends. He's got a solid skillset to create off the dribble and does well to get to his spots on all three levels to score. On defense, he's an active force that hounds the ball and keeps his opponent in check. He's due for a strong year at Western Branch in 2019-20.

4. Alphonzo Billups, Varina

Alphonzo Billups is a young sophomore prospect that's just scratching the surface at Varina High School. He's a 6-foot-5 prospect with a 6-foot-11 wingspan that he utilizes it well on both ends to make an impact. He can score it from the wing and uses his size in the post to absorb contact and score on smaller defenders. He'll be an up and coming prospect to keep an eye on going forward.

5. Lou Hutchinson, Episcopal

Lou Hutchinson is a new addition to the Episcopal rotation for the 2019-20 and if anything, he adds depth to a strong backcourt. Hutchinson has tons of versatility to play multiple spots on the floor with his size at 6-foot-6. He can make plays when he's on the floor and is due to play a big role this season for the Maroon.

6. Bryce Blaine, LC Bird

LC Bird High School has a few young prospects on the rise in their backcourt. 6-foot-3 guard Bryce Blaine is due for quite the breakout year in 2019-20. Blaine is a prospect that's slowly figuring out how to fill up the stat sheet at the guard spot. He can do a little bit of everything with the ball in his hands and is emerging as more than just a rotational guy.

7. DeShawn Goodwyn, George Wythe

DeShawn Goodwyn didn't have much time to adjust to high school basketball after being thrust into the starting lineup this past season at George Wythe. He's quite the shooter from deep and made 10 3-pointers against Clover Hill to the tune of 32 points this past season. He's an emerging shooting guard to keep an eye on in the Richmond area. 

8. Ihsan Duncan, Hampton

Ihsan Duncan is a strong guard prospect at 6-foot-3 that can get to the rim on offense and defends with strength on defense. Duncan is another prospect with the versatility to guard multiple positions on the floor with his frame. He'll be one to keep an eye on as a potential two-way star at Hampton High School this season. 

9. Saxby Sunderland, Flint Hill

Saxby Sunderland is a guard on Flint Hill's roster due for a bigger role in 2019-20 at the guard spot. He'll be looked upon to score and distribute a lot more with less depth in the backcourt this season. He'll have experience in the frontcourt to work with Noel Brown and Dowar Jioklow down low. The 6-foot-2 guard should have a productive year.

10. Cavan Reilly, Middleburg

Middleburg Academy has produced a number of next-level prospects in the past few seasons and 6-foot-3 guard Cavan Reilly is most likely next up. Reilly is probably one of the more underrated shooters in the state but he'll have a chance to put a ton of people on notice in 2019-20. He already holds an offer from James Madison as well.
