Size of Greg Ehlinger at 6'7 stood out in Raleigh NC Top 150

2024 All Stars 1st Team

MVP: Greg Ehlinger 6’7 C

Standing at 6'7 with a long wingspan and active instincts around the rim, eighth grader Greg Ehlinger shows signs of a bright future for the big coming up the ranks in North Carolina's 2024 class. He was the most impactful player at Big Shots NC Top 150 earning 2024 MVP honors. Over the last three years, to see his growth not only in size but development has been fun to watch. Bigs typically develop at a slower pace as they grow but Greg plays to his strengths of rebounding, blocking shots and keeping the ball high in traffic. He effects shots at the defensive end, keeps the ball high on offense and defense and prefers to go to the right hook in the post. He's still fine tuning his post moves and ability to finish using his length and through contact but it is clear he creates a mismatch inside. A consistent All Star with CEBA on the circuit. He averaged 11 ppg at Big Shots NC Top 150 2018 and is one of NC's bigs to watch in 2024 class.

Andrew Neal PG

Love tough coach's son point guards that know how to play and are an extension of the coach and that's what Andrew Neal brings. As the son of former legendary Apex coach Dave Neal (UNC basketball alum), Andrew plays with confidence, high basketball IQ and has a pure stroke from 3 with range that he can run off a high rate. We saw all year on the Big Shots circuit his competitiveness and fearless mentality willing to take and make big shots in helping his team win in any way. Although a smaller guard at this time he plays to his strengths with the deep ball and mid-range jumper while mixing up floaters in the paint. He's a guy you can't go under the screen on or he will make you pay. A consistent all star on Big Shots Circuit stood out once again at NC Top 150 averaging 8 ppg.

Kaedon Porter PG

Kaedon Porter is an athletic guard that plays with a relentless motor and scores in traffic. He was a breakout performer in the 2024 class at NC Top 150. Constantly putting pressure on the defense with his drives and ability to get out in transition in a hurry sometimes going coast to coast for easy layups. Solid rebounder at the point guard spot. A standout on the Big Shots circuit with the Warchiefs. Porter scored 14 points game 1 at NC Top 150 earning all star honors.

Vincent Bertolini-Felice F

The stretch forward position is a valuable one and Vincent Bertolini-Felice plays it very well. Already at 6'3 in eighth grade with tall genes in the family, Vincent shows signs to grow even more. He plays the game with a high basketball IQ, fights for rebounding, posting positioning inside and has the shooting ability to stretch the floor consistently beyond the arc. Inside he can score over both shoulders and has touch in mixing in hook shots in the paint. He's the younger brother of Gettysburg 2020 commit Jake Bertolini-Felice. We saw his versatility all year on the circuit as an all star with Triangle Flight.

Shark Baynard G

Shooters shoot and Shark was stroking. The lefty shooter hit seven 3's in two games to the lead the 2024 class in scoring at 12 ppg. The grandson of Virginia Sports Hall of Fame coach Terry Holland. He thinks the game and plays it with a high basketball IQ with a poise demeanor on the perimeter knowing spacing and how to free himself up for a shot. A pure release on his jumper that shows for a bright future and has shined all fall & circuit season with the Flight 22 squad.

2024 All Stars 2nd Team

Jaylen Wright G

Jaylen is a quick point guard that puts pressure on the defense with his ball handling and aggressive drive game. At Big Shots Raleigh NC Top 150 he averaged 7 ppg scoring in the paint or dishing to the open man for an easy bucket. A standout for Warchiefs on the circuit.

Caleb Hardy SF

Caleb was active on the court at both ends of the floor constantly around the ball making a deflection defensively or scoring at the offensive end. He was a top 3 leading scorer in the 2024 class at NC Top 150 averaging 10.0 points per contest. Hardy has a solid mid-range game and ability to win the 50-50 balls that helped lead to easy buckets for him and his team. An unselfish player that makes the right play and reads. He currently plays with Big Shots Select 2024 on the circuit.

Cody Poythress G

The shooting stroke for Cody Poythress was evident early in camp as he was crowned the Next 3-point Champion at NC Top 150. Another accolade to add to his collection of shooting contest championships as he has won 5 free throw contests and 3 point contest at NC State and Panther Creek High School camps over the years. It carried over to the games where he connected on three 3's in game two and averaged 7.0 points per contest. A versatile athlete that plays with a motor and knowledge of the game. Very coachable player that caught on to instruction and drills quickly translating to live action. Look for him to have a solid eighth grade season.

Jameer Clark PG

A speedy point guard that looks to make play off the bounce. Jameer was crafty off the dribble able to split the defense and make his impact either scoring or dishing at the rim. At Big Shots Raleigh NC Top 150 he averaged 7.0 points per contest. He also showed off his outside stroke as a standout in the 3-point contest.

Myron McKoy G

Speed kills and Myron McKoy brings that to the game. The speedy PG stood out with Flight 22 on the Big Shots circuit all season and is now a two-time all star at Big Shots Fall Top 150 circuit in Raleigh and at Southeast Top 150 with Paul Biancardi. Point guards that get into the paint are a need in today's game and McKoy makes it happen either scoring or dishing off the bounce. I loved his ability to keep playing regardless of the score or competition, McKoy plays a fearless game and continues to battle at both ends of the floor. A coach's son that understands the game and makes the right reads with the ball in his hand.
