Here's a look at the Top 10 big men prospects in the Maryland and Washington D.C. area.

1. Julian Reese, New Town

Julian Reese is slowly becoming a national name in the state of Maryland and will be fun to watch at New Town High School this season. He's a solid forward prospect at 6-foot-9 that had a strong summer on the AAU circuit with Team Durant. He uses his size well to get post position and rebounds on the offensive end. On the defensive end, he's a physical defender and a target for many high major college programs already. He holds offers from Maryland, LSU, Virginia Tech, VCU, Rutgers and others.

2. Zaakir Williamson, Calvert Hall

Zaakir Williamson is a growing name in the state of Maryland's 2021 class. Williamson is a 6-foot-6, 235-pound forward prospect that's starting to find his way in the paint and on the glass. He had a productive spring and summer on the AAU circuit and has made quite a buzz on the recruiting circuit as a result. He'll be a new face to watch at Calvert Hall High School in 2019-20. UMBC and Mount St. Mary's have offered him already.

3. Clarence Obiajulu, City

Clarence Obiajulu is a physical big man prospect that makes quite an impact in the paint. The 6-foot-7 forward is a big reason why City High School will be considered a top team in the Baltimore area this season. He's a dominant presence in the post with his ability to work in the paint for finishes around the rim and his high motor on the rebounding and shot-blocking front. He'll be a name college coaches will want to see this season.

4. Jon Izemef, National Christian

Jon Izemef is a 6-foot-9 big man that moves with a purpose when he's on the hardwood. He runs rim to rim well, understanding his surroundings in the paint. He uses his length well to fly around for rebounds and blocks, making him a force at the rim. Izemef is another name to keep an eye on alongside Jakai Robinson in the 2021 class. They're two prospects with bright futures on the hardwood at National Christian.

5. Jedy Cordilia, West Nottingham

Jedy Cordilia is a big man prospect who had a productive summer on the AAU circuit with Team BBC. Heading into his junior season, he's in good shape as a big man with nice hands in the post. He isn't shy about stepping outside the paint to make shots, either. As he puts more strength on his 6-foot-9 frame, he'll be a name to watch at West Nottingham.

6. Abdou Samb, Frederick Douglass

Abdou Samb is a name that's climbing up the recruiting ranks with his ability to produce in the frontcourt. He's a big man that has turned quite a few heads in the 2021 class in the state of Maryland. He brings size and energy to his team's frontcourt with his size at 6-foot-8. He battles in the paint on both ends and protects the rim and is an intriguing big man in the post.

7. Cole Paar, Glenelg Country

There's more than just 2022 guard Noah Batchelor to keep an eye on at Glenelg Country School this season. 2021 forward Cole Paar is another prospect that's expected to contribute on the interior in 2019-20. He's an impressive back to the basket threat that uses his size well (6-foot-9, 230 pounds) to produce around the rim. He holds an offer from Mount St. Mary's already. He's due for a breakout year with a bigger role on the horizon this season.

8. Nestor Dyachok, Bishop Walsh

Nestor Dyachok is a versatile 6-foot-8 forward to keep an eye on in the area in the 2021 class. Dyachok is yet another new addition to Bishop Walsh School's program this season and a native of Russia. He has the ability to play the forward spot and can stretch the floor with his shooting ability.

9. Daouda Dembele, Springbrook

Daouda Dembele has been molding Springbrook forward since he was in the eighth grade as a member of their JV squad. Dembele is an imposing force already given his size at 6-foot-6 and 205 pounds and he's just scratching the surface with what he can do. He can rebound and defend with his length and is learning how to operate in the post in a number of ways. He'll be a prospect for college coaches to watch at the 4A level in Maryland.

10. Detwan Montague, Milford Mill

Detwan Montague should be considered a breakout candidate in the 2021 class in the area at Milford Mill High School. He does a lot of the little things to make his presence known on the floor, like talking on defense and outworking his opponent. He's a prospect expected to separate himself with his speed and athleticism at 6-foot-8. He holds an offer already from Coastal Carolina and has drawn interest from Chicago State.
