At the conclusion of Ahmil Flowers’s senior year at Grimsley Senior High School in Greensboro, NC, he will be joining the Panther’s roster, playing his collegiate career for legendary Coach Tubby Smith and staff. The 6’5” small forward really impressed coaches on the Big Shots circuit which allowed him to gain solid mid-major recruitment. Prior to making his final decision, Flowers was also considering Western Carolina University and Radford University where he visited both institutions.

Following the commitment of Flowers to High Point University, Big Shots took the time to inquire more about Flowers’s decision. The athletic guard has proven he can be a threatening force in transition as well as finish efficiently around the rim. Flowers has really improved his shooting ability over the years and can knock down pull-up jumpers and hit shots around the perimeter.

When asking Flowers what made High Point the place for him?

Flowers responded, “I chose High point because I love the coaching staff, players and the campus. They offer the classes I want to take and it’s a bonus being so close to home.”

We then asked Flowers what he is looking to bring to the program?

“I want to bring a mentality of hard work and dedication to the program along with a winning mentality. Also I want future recruits to be able to consider high point as an option because of what we build there,” he told us.

Lastly, Flowers told us about his major personal or team goals he wishes to accomplish while at High Point?

He states, “And a few goals I have are to win conference, win the conference tournament, make the NCAA tournament, being on the all conference team, and lead the conference in scoring.”

We wish Ahmil Flowers and his family the best of luck and look forward to following his career as a Panther in the Big South.
