MVP: Prashant Hill 6’6 - F - Cannon School

Prashant Hill was a nice, versatile prospect at Big Shots Wilmington this past weekend, showing off his abilities in a number of ways. He's got good length at 6-foot-6 and can play inside and out with his ability to handle the ball. He put up 13.0 points per game during the showcase games in Wilmington, showing good decision making with the ball. He does well to get to his scoring spots on the floor and shoots it consistently from all three levels. He'll be one to watch this season at Cannon School.

First Team

Keshawn Brown - 5’9 - PG - Bull City Prep

Keshawn Brown is a lightning-quick point guard that impacts the game with the ball in his hands. At Big Shots Wilmington, he posted 27 points in his final showcase game, showing off his quickness and ability to get to the rim. He's also quite a solid shooter and nice ballhandler. As he learns to impact the game on the defensive end, he's one to keep an eye on at Bull City Prep.

Jai Williams - 6’0 - PG - South Central

Jai Williams was a standout point man at Big Shots Wilmington. Williams is an electric athlete in space with his ability to get to the rim and finish in traffic in the paint. He's got a quick first step and good energy when he's on the floor. He's got a bright future on the hardwood and is already part of the strong dynasty with head coach Ron Cherry at South Central High School.

Ryan Mackinnon - 6’2 - G - Chapel Hill

Big Shots Wilmington had one of the top shooters in the 2023 class of North Carolina in attendance with Ryan Mackinnon on hand. Mackinnon has been a solid decision-maker with the ball in his hands in the past few showcases with Big Shots on hand and this past weekend was no different as he showed off his high IQ and shooting from deep. He finished with 15.0 points per contest through the showcase games on the weekend and has quite the skill set headed into his first season at Chapel Hill High School.

Joseph Bachman - 6’3 - F - Laney

Joseph Bachman is an emerging forward with good potential in the state's freshman class. He brings good energy on the defensive end and fights on the boards for every rebound. He's an aggressive threat in the paint on both ends with his ability to finish and alter shots at the rim. He uses his length well and plays with tons of confidence.

Samir Gibbs - 5’9 - PG - New Hanover

Samir Gibbs was one of the top defending guards at Big Shots Wilmington this past weekend. Gibbs is still learning how to be a factor on the offensive end, but on the defensive end, he's a terror to deal with. He's effective on the ball and as a help defender with his ability to force turnovers. He's a prospect to keep an eye on with his defensive impact on the floor.

SECOND TEAM

Worth Stack - 5’11 - G - West Carteret

Worth Stack is an emerging guard prospect in North Carolina's freshman class. He stood out at Big Shots Wilmington with his ability to fill the lane on the break and get to the paint off the dribble. He's got good length and handles that he used well to operate in space. He'll be a budding prospect to watch at West Carteret.

Sean Sheridan - 6’4 - SF - Cary Academy

Sean Sheridan is a solid forward prospect to keep eyes on at Cary Academy. He's an emerging slasher with confidence going to the rim. He's hard to keep off the glass as well in the paint. As he learns to play with balance and under control, he's a prospect with a solid future in the class.

Tyler Henderson - 5’10 - G - Northwood Temple

Tyler Henderson is a combo guard with tons of room to grow in the 2023 class. He can score it on all three levels and does well to work with his teammates to make things happen. Henderson had a nice stroke of his jump shot and showed poise as a scorer and distributor on the perimeter. He used his size well off the dribble to make things happen and is an intriguing prospect at Northwood Temple Academy.

Kendall Cave - 6’3 - SG - Wallace Rose Hill

Kendall Cave had another strong showing at Big Shots Wilmington to close out the fall season. He's a solid slasher that's slowly learning how to create on all three levels. Off the catch, Cave is a knockdown 3-point shooter already. He flies around for rebounds and blocks on defense as well. He'll be one to keep an eye on in this state's class.

Cason Collins - 6’1 - F - West Carteret

Cason Collins is a competitor that fills his role well and had a solid performance doing so at Big Shots Wilmington. He's a hustle guy that does all the little things well, like fighting for offensive rebounds and diving on the floor for loose balls. He competes on both ends and is active at pushing the pace to make team plays. Look for him in the coming seasons at West Carteret.
