Take a look at the All-Stars and Standouts from Big Shots West Virginia in the 2021 class.

CO-MVP: Brandon Brown, 6'2, SG, Teays Valley (WV) | Big Shots Elite Tri-Cities

High flying guard with a stroke, Brandon Brown stood out at the Big Shots West Virginia Top 150 with his athletic ability and court vision in earning Co-MVP honors. He's an athletic slasher that can play above the rim and finish with authority. He's not afraid to be physical and operate through traffic to make things happen. He runs the floor well on the break and showed off his ability to do so this past weekend. A consistent all star on the Big Shots circuit over the years, Brandon will be one to watch at Teays Valley High School. He has already drawn interest from some college programs in Baylor, Marshall, VMI, Rhode Island, Concord, King.

Co-MVP: Jaelin Johnson, 6'4, SF, Fairmont Sr. (WV) | Big Shots Elite WV

One of WV's biggest sleepers in 2021 is priming for a breakout season as the next star wing at Fairmont Senior. Jaelin Johnson is one of the top wings in the 2021 class in West Virginia and he put that on full display this past weekend at Big Shots West Virginia Top 150 averaging 18 ppg in earning Co-MVP honors. A similar style of play to Big Shots alum Jaylen Brown at 6'4, Johnson plays with burst and a high motor on both ends finishing well above the rim on drives, elevating on his jumper and protecting the rim by blocking shots. He's a shutdown defender at the next level that will attract mid-majors when it's all said and done. With his athleticism and size he can play multiple positions 1-3 scoring on the interior and perimeter. He was a star at Big Shots Myrtle Beach Live for Big Shots Elite WV. The last four years Fairmont Senior has had the likes of Jalen Bridges (WVU) and Zyon Dobbs (JMU), now the star torch has been passed on to Jaelin Johnson. He's got the potential to grow as a strong college prospect and already holds offers from Fairmont State, Point Park and WV Wesleyan.

First Team

Aiden Satterfield, 6’5, SG, Charleston Catholic (WV) | Big Shots Elite WV

College coaches have been making a consistent stop into Charleston Catholic all fall to see this rising star in WV's 2021 class. Aiden Satterfield is a one of the top scoring wings in the class. A Division-1 prospect with a rangy wingspan, polished skills and growing confidence at a fast pace building off a stellar circuit season with Big Shots Elite WV. He has nice size at 6-foot-5 that he uses well to score at the rim in traffic. On the perimeter, he's quite the shooter as well, especially off the dribble. He's already drawing interest from VMI, Marshall, Youngstown State among others. As Robby Williams has moved on to Marshall, Satterfield is now in the star role this season for Charleston Catholic with expectations for a big season. Look for him to continue to gain more attraction from college programs in the months to come.

Noah Rittinger, 6’3, G, Poca (WV) | Tru-Game Elite

The talent has always been there and now the opportunity and setting at Poca is a fit for Noah Rittinger. Offered by Marshall as a freshman, Noah has been highly touted since a young age. From the first time I saw him at Big Shots Elite Camp with Greg White in DC in 2015 until now, the lefty PG has had a superb handle playing with a flash to his game and an ability to play with the ball in his hand. Like most scoring lefties he has a knack finishing through contact going left and a smooth jumper with range in the package. Playing for Allen Osborne alongside a star player in Isaac McKneely will only make Rittinger that much more dangerous. An unselfish player that makes the right play making others around him better. He and McKneely will form one of the best backcourts in the state. He put together solid scoring displays from the perimeter alongside fellow teammate, Isaac McKneely, showing off his ability to work well in the backcourt with and without the ball in his hands. He produced 11.0 points per game across two showcase games, showing off his ability to score on all three levels as a combo guard threat. He'll be fun to watch at Poca High School this season.

Grayson Honaker, 6’2, G, Honaker (VA) | Big Shots Elite Tri-Cities

One of VA's top scorers, D1 level prospect Grayson Honaker hailing from Honaker, VA. He set the VA High School League freshman scoring record at 601 points breaking VA native, current San Antonio Spurs G Keldon Johnson's scoring mark. Coming off averaging 20.0+ ppg for Team Xplosion at Big Shots Myrtle Beach Live, Honaker put on another scoring exhibition averaging 18.0 ppg at WV Top 150. A confident shooter that can score on all three levels, excelling shooting off the bounce and with touch in the paint. He has a high basketball IQ and has that baller mentality that does what it takes to produce numbers. Not just an offensive player he plays with toughness on defense and is active on the glass for a guard. He'll continue to represent the city and the name Honaker to the fullest with his play. He currently holds an offer from Virginia Wise.

Nic Owens, 5’7, PG

Don't let his size fool you, Nic Owens is quite the competitor with his ability to create his own shot off the dribble and pass the ball at a high level. Owens was fundamentally sound at Big Shots West Virginia working with and without the ball in his hands. He can shoot with range and makes tough, crisp passes in space to open teammates to make things happen on the floor.

Jalen Leftwich, 6’3, PG, Lynchburg Christian (VA) | Big Shots Elite Tri-Cities

Coming into the event, Big Shots Elite Tri-Cities director was super high on Jalen Leftwich and he showed out! At 6'3 Leftwich is a smooth operating point guard that has a polished skill set, range on his jumper and upside that will attract Division 1 programs very soon. He lets the game come to him, not forcing but making the right read either scoring or hitting the open man. When he is scoring, he's a three-level scorer that has a pure release on his jumper with range and burst off the dribble to blow by defenders and finish strong in the paint. He's set to have a strong year at Liberty Christian this season.

Maxwell Washington, 6'5, SF, Morgantown (WV) | WV Reign Elite

Players with length and a skill set can see their recruitment pick up fast and Max has the intangibles to make that happen. When I first saw Maxwell Washington this year at Big Shots NC Tip Off he caught my eye across the gym at 6'5 with a long wingspan stroking a 3 then followed up by a poster dunk. He's a quickly emerging wing hailing from Morgantown High School that played JV last season but will look to make a big impact this season as a junior on varsity.  He's a slasher type that uses his size well to get to the rim and finish with his budding athleticism. He put together a scoring averaging of 17.0 points per game at WV Top 150. Washington is drawing interest from Concord and St. Vincent already.

2nd Team

Zion Suddeth, 6’2, G, Charleston Catholic (WV) | Big Shots Elite WV

High in character and conditioning, Zion Suddeth is a heady combo guard that stood out with his two-way abilities, relentless motor and willing to help others at Big Shots West Virginia Top 150. He's a solid floor general with the ball in his hands that uses his basketball IQ well to make plays. He excels hitting the mid-range jumper and attacking angles on drives to the basket. His biggest presence comes on the defensive end where he uses a strong core frame that can stay in front and guard multiple positions with pressure. As a two-sport standout in soccer and basketball, he uses his conditioning and footwork he gains on the soccer field and translates it to the hardcourt. A standout for Big Shots Elite WV on the circuit this season. Playing alongside teammate Aiden Satterfield, look for Zion to have a big impact for Charleston Catholic High School this season as they are a strong contender to compete for WV A title.

Blake Meighen, 6’1, SG, RC Byrd (WV) | WV Burn

Blake Meighen was a top shooter at Big Shots West Virginia Top 150 this past weekend. He knocked down five 3-pointers to open the showcase games on the day, showing off his ability to run off screens and work off ball screens to make things happen when he touched the basketball. He's a solid perimeter threat that continues to grow the more we see him. He moves well without the ball and sees the floor well when he's on it. He's got a pure release from 3 and good genes as his dad played at UNC-Wilmington. Look for him to be a key player for RC Byrd this season.

Cade Looney, 6’8, PF, Grundy (VA) | Big Shots Elite Tri-Cities

Stretch forwards with skills and feel are a need at the next level and Cade Looney carries those traits at 6'8. A coach's son that is an emerging forward prospect that stood out at Big Shots West Virginia Top 150 with his length and versatility. Looney has the ability to extend the floor with his shooting off pick and pop action and can also defend on the perimeter on 1-5 switches. He's improved on his foot speed and moves well defensively while protecting the paint and securing rebounds. Cade had a big sophomore season at Grundy where they set the school record in wins and he was a big reason.  Carried that over to the circuit where the Big Shots All American was a consistent all star.  College coaches tune in, Looney will be one that low major Division 1 programs need to have on their radar.

Mitchell Price, 6’3, G/F, Elkins (WV) | WV Reign

Energy was on a high and Mitchell Price's production showed at Big Shots WV Top 150. He's an active wing prospect that can play multiple positions on the floor as well as multiple sports, also playing football. He's got a nice frame for his size at 6-foot-3 and is a tough rebounder in the paint. On the perimeter, he can shoot the 3-ball and handle with ability to distribute off the bounce. He has a solid skill set that will contribute heading into his junior season at Elkins High School.

Carter Williams, 6’1, G, Webster County (WV) | WV Reign Elite

Carter Williams was a consistent scoring guard at Big Shots West Virginia Top 150 where he put in 11.0 ppg. He showed patience off the dribble taking what the defense gave him during the showcase games. He can score on all three levels and has a nice wingspan for a player of his size. He's got good athleticism to go with it and will make noise at Webster County this season.

Ben Gilliam, 6’5, PF, Woodrow Wilson (WV) | Garner Road WV

Every time you looked Ben Gilliam was looking to make a play at the rim. A fearless attacking wing with a strong frame stood out in a variety of ways at Big Shots West Virginia Top 150 with his strength and athleticism. He was a terror on the fast break, finishing with a number of big dunks throughout the day. He's also improved his handle in traffic. In the paint, he's got a nice touch around the rim with his back to the basket hooks. Playing for a traditional powerhouse program in Woodrow Wilson, look for many lobs to be coming this season with the Ricard Law Jr. to Gilliam connection. Gilliam is currently receiving interest from Concord and Potomac State.

John Blankenship, 6’5, SF, Lincoln

John Blankenship was a solid performer at Big Shots West Virginia Top 150 with his ability to defend and clean up on the offensive glass. A standout for WV MPact at Big Shots Myrtle Beach Live, he continued to show his skill set and instincts at 6'5 at WV Top 150.  An extension of the coach on the floor, he has court awareness on defense with his length and ability to block shots. On offense, he moves well without the ball to set himself for scoring opportunities and hit the glass on the rebounding front. He's still filling out his 6-foot-5 frame and is one to watch at Lincoln County High School.
