Here's a look at the Top 10 shooting guards in the DC/Maryland area.

The Washington D.C./Maryland area is ripe with talent in the 2021 class. Here's a look at the Top 10.

1. Jordan Hawkins, DeMatha

Jordan Hawkins is primed for a big season at DeMatha High School after transferring from Gaithersburg High School. He's a 6-foot-5 shooting guard that can play either guard and wing position given his length. Hawkins should make quite the impact in DeMatha's backcourt with Earl Timberlake Jr.. He holds offers from Xavier, George Washington, Bryant, Mount St. Mary's, James Madison and Norfolk State.

2. Jakai Robinson, National Christian Academy

Jakai Robinson has climbed up the 2021 rankings with his versatile skillset. He's become a household name on the AAU circuit and at National Christian Academy with his ability to score on all three levels and guard multiple positions. At 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, he's got quite the strength and length that allows him to play inside and out, defend and rebound. So far, he holds an offer from Florida.

3. David Brown III, McNamara

David Brown III had quite the productive season at McDonogh School in 2018-19 and now finds himself in the driver's seat in a sense at McNamara. He's a solid all-around player that does a little bit of everything well. He can score on all three levels and fly around on defense for blocks and rebounds. With a move to the WCAC, he looks ready to turn a corner. He holds offers from Columbia, Stony Brook, Howard, Loyola (MD), Bryant and UMass-Lowell.

4. Malcolm Dread, Gonzaga

Malcolm Dread is following in the footsteps of his brother, Myles, who's currently at Penn State University entering his sophomore season. Dread is due for a breakout season at Gonzaga High School after spending time as their lockdown defender in 2018-19. He's got nice athleticism and has the ability to get to the rim with ease. He's been offered by James Madison, George Washington and East Carolina.

5. Jared Billups, McDonogh School

Jared Billups is quite the athletic shooting guard prospect in McDonogh's backcourt. He can score on all three levels and can get to the rim and finish with authority when in rhythm. He flies around the court on both ends, using his defense to generate offense often. He's a prospect due for more offers and holds offers from Mount St. Mary's, Bryant, Loyola (MD) and UMass-Lowell.

6. Joa Ituka, Gaithersburg

Joa Ituka is a combo guard prospect that can fill it up in bunches at Gaithersburg High School. While he isn't the greatest shooter, he is a terror off the dribble drive and has quite the athletic ability that allows him to put his opponents on poster dunks. He holds an offer from South Alabama and should draw in more offers in his junior season.

7. Nick Marshall, River Hill

Nick Marshall is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard that's due to break out in 2019-20. He's crafty off the dribble with a solid feel for his floor game. He's unselfish in his playing style as well, looking to score when open and facilitate when needed. With his length, he can even guard the 1-3 spots on the floor. He holds on offer from Loyola (MD) and is drawing interest from some other college programs.

8. Jordan Rayford, Bishop Walsh

Jordan Rayford had a productive AAU season and was productive enough at Georgetown Prep that he'll be at Bishop Walsh School for 2019-20. He's an impressive combo guard standing at 6-foot-5 and has quite the frame he uses well to rebound the ball and defend. He's got a high IQ that allows him to make plays for himself and others and is developing as a shooter. He holds an offer from Old Dominion and is due to earn other offers as his game continues to develop.

9. Julius Ellerbe, New Hope

Julius Ellerbe is a raw talent with an advanced feel for the game at New Hope High School. It won't surprise us if he moves his rank up some after this high school season with his ability to attack the defense and distribute the basketball with relative ease and accuracy. He's solid at shifting the defense and creating off the bounce. Keep an eye out for Ellerbe to make noise.

10. Ryan Prather Jr., Clarksburg

Ryan Prather Jr. is quite the shooting guard prospect that's due for a big season at Clarksburg High School. He's got the frame of a big guard and uses it well to play on both ends. He can get to the rim and finish with authority and create off the dribble. He's also an underrated rebounder that averaged 9.0 rebounds per contest in 2018-19. He's due for a strong junior campaign and a rise in his recruitment as a new season approaches.
