Jaden Daughtry named MVP, one of Virginia's top 2022 wings

Richmond, VA - Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150 has drawn several of the region's top talent and sleepers over the years. Past MVP's have included Naji Marshall, Prentiss Hubb,  Che Evans Jr., Marchellus Avery Jr.  A hot prospect in Virginia's 2022 class shined brightest of them all this year earning Camp MVP honors:

MVP: Jaden Daughtry 2022 6'5 SF Benedictine College Preparatory (VA) | BWSL Team Marsh / VA Havoc

Proven over the 14 years of Big Shots, players that consistently produce numbers in Big Shots get recruited, add Jaden Daughtry to that long list of "sleepers". The 6'5 versatile lefty was the top overall perfomer averaging 18 ppg, 10+ rpg at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150 earning 2022 MVP honors. Recently offered by ODU and Norfolk State, Daughtry is one of VA's top wings in the class of 2022. A downhill lefty driving wing that creates an inside-out mismatch with his skillset, length and ability to make shots all over the court. Scored on drives, in the pinch post, face up game, offensive rebound putbacks and shot the 3 well. He converts at the line at a high rate. Impressed with his rebounding and motor showing his ability to push it out in the break leading to easy buckets. His game will continue to blossom as he reps his perimeter jumper shooting a high percentage. An all star on the Big Shots Circuit with Team Marsh and VA Havoc, Daughtry was putting up 20+ ppg on a regular basis playing up 1-2 age groups. Look for him to have a big season at Benedictine.

Nick Booker 2022 5'8 PG Church Hill Academy (VA) | Big Shots Elite VA

Frequently seen starring for Big Shots Elite VA 2021 team, Nick Booker was at it again at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150 as a top PG in camp averaging 17 ppg and a leader in assist. The speedy, lefty playmaking lead guard makes a living in the paint with paint touches, either scoring or dishing to open man for buckets. A tough check with his quicks and tight handle, Booker was making a play nearly every time the ball was in his hands. A high percentage finisher at the rim especially going to his left, finishing through contact and over length. Can spread you out and blow by. Impressed with his ability to move without the ball leading to layups. Defensively, he flies around the court, getting deflections and disrupting offense with his pressure. Don't let his size fool you, the 5'8 floor general is a D1 talent with his speed and playmaking ability that controls the flow of games.

Curtis Allen 2022 6'3' SG Prince George  (VA) | Team Flight

Allen is a 2-sport standout on the hardcourt and gridiron. He is an athletic wing that when the motor is going he is making plays all over the court: driving, rebounding, blocking shots, playmaking in transition. A good ball handler for his size with confidence to finish in traffic. Loved his ability to go get the ball on the offensive glass creating second chance points. He gets out in the break off a rebound and would go coast to coast to score. In funneling his focus and energy to his strengths you saw production in the result averaging 11 ppg at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150 earning 2022 All Star honors.

Gavin Kreitz 2022 5’10 PG Ridge (NJ) | East Coast Cyclones

Gavin was a top shooter at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150. He came out hot starting in skills where he was a top performer displaying a tight, quick handle and an ability to hit shots off the dribble at a high rate. A compact, strong guard that is a knockdown shooter off the catch from 3 and mid-range game. Kreitz is a confident PG with a high basketball IQ, knows the game and makes the right reads both offensively and defensively. Defensively he has fast feet and applies strong ball pressure. A standout on the Big Shots Circuit on a talented East Coast Cyclones team that made strong runs in Myrtle Beach Live and Team Final event. Averaged 13 ppg at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150, named 2022 All Star.

Omari Curley 2022 5'10 PG Life Christian Academy (VA) | Team Flight

Curley is a quick point guard that plays fast looking to push in the break off a rebound or picking up his man defensively full court. He has good court vision hitting the man ahead in the break or dropping off dime on drives to teammate in the half court for easy buckets. Liked his court awareness at both ends of the floor. Named 2022 All Star at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150.

Aidan Jones 2022 5’ 11 PG Shalom Christian Academy (PA)

Aidan is a sophomore PG at small private school that as a freshman led his varsity team as PG averaging 18 ppg. At Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150 he was active defensively creating deflections and steals with his energy and helpside defense. He rebounded well at the defensive end and was quick on the outlet pass creating scoring opportunities for his teammates. Offensively he gets out in the break, runs lane hard and moves well without the ball. He was best as a driver and showed well in the skill session hitting the mid-range jumper. Continue to improve ball handling against pressure with the off hand in the full court and have a high assist to turnover ratio. A coachable player that will continue to improve over the years. Earned 2022 all star honors at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150.
