Division 1 PG prospects Allen Strothers and Christian Wilson named 2021 MVP's

Richmond, VA - Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150 has drawn several of the region's top talent and sleepers over the years. Past MVP's have included Naji Marshall, Prentiss Hubb,  Che Evans Jr., Marchellus Avery Jr.  Two Division 1 point guard prospects in VA's 2021 class earned MVP honors this year:

Co-MVP: Allen Strothers 2021 6'3 G Menchville (VA) |  Boo Williams / H2G Loaded 17U

One of VA’s top PG’s in 2021 named 2021 MVP at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150. A lengthy PG at 6'2 that is a shot maker off the catch & dribble and explosive at the rim! He currently holds offers from Elon, ODU, Howard, Hampton, App State, Radford, Mount St Mary’s, Norfolk State. As the son of former NBA player Lamont Strothers, Allen knows how to play. In the skill session he showed he can really create space with his quicks, footwork and elevation on his jumper on balance every shot and can score at all 3-levels. In the games he could get to the rim off the bounce whenever he wanted but still stayed within the system. Love his upside, and has the skillset that translates quickly at the next level. Look for him to have a big year at Menchville and continue to bring in offers.

CO-MVP: Christian Wilson 2021 6'0 PG Church Hill Academy (VA) | Team Loaded

Christian was the leading scorer at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150 averaging 21 ppg earning 2021 Co-MVP honors. Standout point guards possess the natural ability where the game flows through them whether scoring or controlling the tempo of the game, Christian Wilson has that trait. A quick 6'0 PG that gets to his spots at ease livnig majority in the paint, changing gears, and a confident stroke off the dribble with range making him a tough check.He took games over down the stretch and closed them out going 2-0 on the day. Christian is sleeper in VA's 2021 class that consistently proves on the Big Shots Circuit he's a D1 PG. Expect for him to have a big year at Church Hill Academy playing alongside 2021 speedster PG Nick Booker.

Maurice Hudgins 2021 6’4 G Christchurch School (VA) |  Virginia Venom

Maurice is an aggressive guard that can play multiple positions 1-3. Stood out in the skill session with his stroke and sound footwork off the dribble. Carried that over to the game scoring 15 points in game 1. Plays the game with a high basketball IQ, moves well off of the ball creating scoring opportunites for himself and teammates. Rebounded well at both ends of the floor. At 6'4 able to shoot over smaller defenders and uses his length in traffic to get shot off. Named 2021 All Star at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150. Michael Kennedy 2021 6'0 PG Life Christian Academy VA Hardwood Assault Lefty point guard that has the right spot right time type of game as the floor general. Always around the ball to make a play. Michael hit the mid-range jumper in skill session, showing a smooth lefty stroke. In the games he was efficient in scoring in transition and off PNR situations. As most lefties do he has a knack to finish with the bump especially going left. Returning player to Life Christian Academy team that won states last season. Named 2021 All Star at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150 averaged 8 ppg.

Chris Allen 2021 6'1 PF Prince George High School (VA) | Team Flight

A football standout also gets it done on the hardcourt. A big man that works in the post, runs the floor leading to easy buckets and controls the paint on the glass and defensively. He brings positive energy to the game and toughness inside at both ends of the floor. Knows how to use his frame to his advantage scoring inside, creating space and finishing through contact. Rebounds and can lead the break with a confident handle at his size. Chris is a vocal leader that led by example at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic scoring 20 points in game two in route to 2021 All Star honors.

Maurice Vincent 2021 6’0 G The Carmel School (VA) | Hardwood Assualt

Maurice is a quick point guard that plays uptempo style offensively and defensively. He exceled in transition making reads in traffic passing and shooting at the right time. A very coachable player that picks up on instruction quickly translating to positive plays. The 6'0 combo guard displayed a solid stroke from 3, able to use his speed to get to the rim on drives scoring or dishing to the open man. Maurice scored 15 points in game one earning 2021 All Star honors at Big Shots Mid-Atlantic Top 150.
