Take a look at the Top 10 small forwards in Maryland/Washington D.C. in the 2020 class.

The Maryland/Washington D.C. area has quite a few prospects to look forward to in their 2020. Here's a look at the Top 10 small forwards in the class.

1. Earl Timberlake Jr., DeMatha

Earl Timberlake Jr. had a huge breakout spring and summer while donning his newly chiseled frame. He's spent quite a bit of time in the weight room and it's showed with his knack for getting to the paint and finishing above the rim. Timberlake is a big, strong forward listed at 6-foot-6, 215 pounds and he uses his frame well to get to the paint and finish strong. When he's not scoring, he's usually pressuring the ball and forcing turnovers. Timberlake committed to the University of Miami in the fall following the footsteps of current Miami star Chris Lykes to hail from the DMV. 

2. Myles Stute, Gonzaga

Myles Stute is a versatile forward that can play either forward position with his ability to score on all three levels. He's really improved his skills from behind the arc and off the dribble. With his size and length at 6-foot-6 and 200 pounds, he also has the ability to operate in the post. His most underrated ability is his vision with the ball in his hands. He's headed to Vanderbilt after this season.

3. Che Evans Jr., Neuman Goretti 

Che Evan Jr. has taken on a change of scenery after spending much of his career at Dulaney High School. He'll spend his final season at Neuman Goretti (PA) in the Philadelphia area. He's a versatile forward with a nice frame that has the ability to play above the rim. His outside shot has improved as well and is due to develop even more in his final season. He's headed to San Diego State when his college career begins.

4. Jamal West, St. Frances

Jamal West is a prospect that had a strong spring and summer and is due for a breakout season with St. Frances Academy. He's a 6-foot-5 forward that can guard multiple positions on the floor. West flies around on the boards and is a terror in the paint with his athleticism. He can score inside and out when needed and should be a key piece for his squad this season. He's headed to South Alabama to play his college ball.

5. Cam Tweedy, Westlake

Cam Tweedy is quite the do-it-all small forward for his size 6-foot-6 and 207 pounds. He was a walking double-double putting up 16.9 points and 13.0 rebounds per contest for Westlake this past season while also swatting 4.1 blocks per game. Tweedy is a long, versatile forward with a high-motor and flies around the floor making things happen. He's headed to Loyola (MD) after his senior season.

6. Eric Sondberg, South River

Eric Sondberg has had himself quite the climb in the DMV area at South River. He averaged 23.0 points per contest during his junior year and had a productive summer with Team Durant on the EYBL circuit. He's high-motor wing at 6-foot-4 that looks to make the right play at the right time. He's emerging slasher due for a strong senior campaign before heading to Lafayette next season.

7. Quinton Mincey, Eleanor Roosevelt

Quinton Mincey has been a stock riser in the DMV area at Eleanor Roosevelt and with Mid-Atlantic Select this past summer. He's a lengthy prospect at 6-foot-6 that can get to the rim and score on all three levels. He can score in the mid-range with quite the efficiency as well. He's headed to Mount St. Mary's next fall. 

8. Jack Doumbia, Lanham Christian

Jack Doumbia has been in the states for just two seasons but he's made quite the strides despite the short stint. He can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim, finishing strong through contact. He's also quite the sharpshooter off the catch-and-shoot and working on developing his abilities off the dribble. He's receiving interest from a few mid-major programs. 

9. Tomiwa Sulaiman, West Nottingham

Tomiwa Sulaiman is a versatile wing prospect who's stock has grown over the past few seasons. He's a native of London and in just a few short months has made a name for himself in the Maryland area at West Nottingham High School. He can score on all three levels and play the wing and in the frontcourt with his size at 6-foot-5 with a 6-foot-9 wingspan. He's due to turn some heads in his senior season.

10. Will Thomas, Mervo

Will Thomas has had a productive summer on the UA circuit with Team Thrill and is starting to see his production pay off entering his final year of high school. He's an aggressive small forward with tight handles and the ability to score from anywhere on the floor, especially above the rim. He uses his frame well to get to his spots on the floor for points. He's down to a final three of Coppin State, Coastal Carolina and Towson.
