Take a look at the updated Top 10 point guards in the Maryland/DC area.

The Maryland and Washington D.C. areas have a rich basketball history surrounding them. Here's a look at the Top 10 point guards in the Maryland/Washington D.C. area.

1. Ace Baldwin Jr., St. Frances (Committed: VCU)

Ace Baldwin Jr. comes in as the top point guard in the MD/DC area and has been one of the up-and-coming prospects for a while now. Baldwin measures at just 6-foot, but he's got a lot to his game with his ability to breakdown the defense, get to the rim and score on all three levels. He averaged 14.1 points, 5.6 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 3.5 steals per contest as a junior and is due to put up big numbers entering his final high school season. He's already committed to the VCU Rams.

2. Marcus Dockery, Brewster Academy (Committed: MARYLAND)

Marcus Dockery is another player who's seen his stock grow quite a bit over the past few seasons. He's moved to Brewster Academy (NH) to prepare for the next level after spending last season at Bishop O'Connell. Dockery can score on all three levels and is a volume shooter that shot 38.9 percent from 3-point range with DC Premier on the Under Armour circuit this past summer. He's a lead guard learning to make plays for others as well.  He's headed to play college ball with the Maryland Terrapins after the 2019-20 season.

3. Chuck Harris, Gonzaga  (Committed: BUTLER)

Chuck Harris is a player that found himself starting on the Gonzaga College High School roster as a sophomore and hasn't looked back since. The 6-foot-1 point guard is a player that can defend fullcourt with his length, lead the offense and facilitate the ball. He's not the greatest athlete but he makes up for it with his high IQ. Harris is headed to Butler University after his senior high school season.

4. DeLonnie Hunt, Rock Creek Christian Academy

DeLonnie Hunt is a lead guard at Rock Creek Christian Academy due for a breakout season. He's had a bit of change of scenery in his final two seasons but after playing in the WCAC, he's adjusted well in a new conference. He can play above the rim with his growing athleticism and score in bunches from anywhere on the floor. Hunt and company won last year's Capital Beltway Athletic Association and return as early favorites in 2019-20. He currently holds offers from Bryant, UMBC, Binghamton and South Alabama.

5. Colin Smalls, St. Andrew's Episcopal (Committed: AMERICAN)

Colin Smalls is a 6-foot-2 point guard that 's shifty with his handle and sets up teammates well for easy buckets. He pressures the ball on the defensive end and when needed, he can score with his ability to get to the rim and knock down 3-pointers. He's got the innate ability to use his strength well to draw in defenders before making a nifty pass to teammates. He's due to make waves for St. Andrew's Episcopal who fields a talented group in 2019-20. Smalls is headed to American University.

6. Rahim Ali Jr., Poly

Rahim Ali Jr. is a scrappy point guard that does a little bit of everything as the team's floor general at Baltimore Polytechnic. Ali and company won last year's MPSSAA 3A State Championship and he walked away from the title game with 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals. He's a stat-sheet stuffer that does a solid job of getting to the paint and drawing fouls. In their final game, he went 10-of-11 from the free-throw line. Since then, he's begun drawing interest from a number of college programs. He holds offers from Loyola (MD), Boise State, Towson and Siena entering his senior season.

7. Canin Reynolds, Landon (Committed: COLUMBIA)

Canin Reynolds is listed a just 5-foot-9 but he's another point guard that plays bigger than his height suggests. He's a vocal leader that also leads by example and fearless ability to get to the rim and finish in traffic. He's a three-level scorer that never stops attacking the defense. His energy and effort with the ball in his hands is something that can't be taught. Reynolds is headed to Columbia University after his senior season.

8. Ronald Polite, Oxon Hill (Committed: GEORGE MASON)

Ronald Polite is a prospect at Oxon Hill High School who's really seen his stock grow over the past spring and summer. He's got a smooth game that does well to control the pace of the game as a true floor general. He's got nice length and makes crisp passes to teammates to get them easy buckets. He's also quite the rebounder for his size at 6-foot-1. He's headed to George Mason University after the 2019-20 high school season.

9. JayShaun Freeman, Kent County

JayShaun Freeman is another lead guard that can do a little bit of everything at Kent County High School. While he isn't from the DMV area per se, he was the Bayside Player of the Year in 2018-19. He pushes the pace well on the break and does well to put his teammates in position to score.  He's a smooth operator in the pick-and-roll game and does well to wait patiently for what the defense gives him. Currently, he's drawing interest from UMES, UMBC, Binghamton and Mount St. Mary's and holds an offer from Southern Utah.

10. Michael Gray, Lake Clifton

Michael Gray is a lead guard that's really come on in the past few months. He's set to breakout at Lake Clifton High School with his ability to penetrate the defense and finish at the rim. He's an unselfish guard that gets the ball to his playmakers as well. He's got a nice combination of strength and length that he utilizes well to get to his spots on the floor. Gray is also quite the shooter from behind the arc. He currently holds an offer from UMass-Lowell.
