Moravian Prep 6-foot-9 versatile prospect Josh Hall has become a national name over the past few seasons. Hall has emerged as a Top-50 prospect in his class out of North Carolina, in roughly seven months, when he began as the 129th-ranked prospect in February 2019 on 247Sports. Now, he's set to go to a high-major program of his choosing this spring. I caught up with Hall for his thoughts on his recruitment and more.
Q: Your recruitment has remained wide open entering your final season. What schools have been pursuing you hard?
Josh Hall: We've got Florida State, Texas, LSU, Alabama, DePaul, NC State and Georgia.
Q: Any more official visits coming down the pipeline? You've visited NC State and Louisville already.
JH: Currently, I don't have any official visits set up at all.
Q: In six months, you've gone from not mentioned at all to Top 50 in your class. What keeps you motivated to continue improving?
JH: Knowing that I'm finally getting praise now. Before I had to go out and play my hardest and I still do because now people are coming at my neck.
Q: What have you been working on the most this past offseason?
JH: I've been working hard on my ballhandling. My playmaking ability, especially seeing the whole floor. And not taking plays off.
Q: What are you looking forward to the most this season?
JH: Playing in big tournaments, getting closer with my teammates and becoming a better leader.
Hall is set to have a strong 2019-2020 season playing a national schedule and with over 20 Division I offers from high-major programs, he's going to make waves wherever he lands with his ability to score on all three levels. One part of his game that's really improved is his ability to finish everything at the rim with a dunk. He's set to make his final decision on a school in Spring 2020.
