High major prospect Perry Smith Jr. named SC Top 150 2022 MVP

2022 All Stars & Standouts

MVP: Perry Smith Jr., Legacy Early College

Perry Smith Jr. is an impressive 2022 prospect that continues to improve. Smith was a dominant force on the block with his strength and long wingspan, finishing everything around the rim with power and authority. He's a high-caliber prospect with his ability to play inside and out and is developing more and more as we see him.

Seth DeBruhl, Myrtle Beach Christian

Seth DeBruhl is a sharpshooter on the wing with range. He's got a knack for pulling up from deep 3-point range but also isn't hesitant to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim.

Dylan Williams, Irmo

Dylan Williams is an aggressive point guard prospect that gets after it on both ends. He isn't afraid to get physical on defense or drive to the bucket for tough points, two things he did consistently throughout the showcase. He's played varsity ball since he was an eighth-grader and continues to turn heads at Irmo High School. He already holds an offer from High Point.

Kristopher Wallace, Gray Collegiate

Gray Collegiate had standouts all over the place and in every class at this year's BigShots South Carolina Showcase. Kristopher Wallace was the consummate floor general for his squad and did well to involve others while still finding a way to drain 3-pointers. He's got a high IQ for playmaking and should continue to develop and grow.

Tory Kelly, Gray Collegiate

Tory Kelly kept the defense on their heels all showcase long with his ability to drive to the basket and create off the dribble. He's also the type of guard that applies solid ball pressure on the defensive end. Kelly has a quick first step off the dribble and possesses the athleticism to play both guard spots for Gray Collegiate.

Valerian Bruce, West Florence

Valerian Bruce is a lengthy combo guard at 5-foot-10. He's got tight handles which allow him to operate the offense and get to his spots on the floor. He's not afraid to get in the paint and chase down rebounds, either. He's got good composure and command on offense and should he grow more, he can play multiple positions on the floor.

Davion Joyner, Fort Dorchester

Davion Joyner is a solid team player with a good basketball IQ. He's an aggressive driver that can get to the paint and worked well under pressure during the showcase. He's a capable guard that can execute and facilitate within the offense.

Cedric Shelby,  Brookland-Cayce

Cedric Shelby is a combo guard that can fill it up from deep as well as run the team as the floor general. He's a natural leader that gets his teammates in position to score and is aggressive when needed. He drained a game-winning shot during the games portion of the day and showed poise as a competitor.
