Here’s a look at the bigs as we move on to the 2022 class next week.

BigShots.net has covered the Top 10 point guards, the Top 10 shooting guards and Top 10 small forwards in the state of North Carolina’s 2021 class. Here’s a look at the bigs as we move on to the 2022 class next week.

1. Will Felton, Millbrook

In guard-heavy class, it’s easy to lose track of the big men but 2021 big man Will Felton is one big man that’s hard to ignore. He’s a double-double guy with a nice touch and hands around the rim.

Defensively, he gets after it with his ability to defend and block shots. Felton only has an offer from Elon for now, but that’s sure to change. He’s a name to know in the 2021 class in the state of North Carolina.

2. Gabe Wiznitzer, Hargrave Military Academy

Gabe Wiznitzer is another big man to know in the 2021 class in the state of North Carolina. Wiznitzer is a kid that’s been playing varsity since his freshmen season and has gradually improved by the season.

He’s got a nice variety of moves in the post, including a nice hook shot. He battles for boards in the post as well. So far, he’s got offers from Nebraska, Penn State, Clemson and others.

3. Jordan Wildy, Moravian Prep

Jordan Wildy, yet another Moravian Prep import from Rock Hill High School (SC), is a versatile forward at 6-foot-7. He can roam in the post or on the perimeter with his ability to knock down 3-pointers.

Wildy’s length and athleticism should carry him in this class, though. He’s got the ability to be a high-major prospect. Western Carolina and Elon have offered him.

4. Jacori Owens, Combine Academy

Jacori Owens is an emerging big man who impacts the game with his ability to impact shots, rebound and score the ball on the inside. Owens plays big for his size at 6-foot-8 and uses his position well to affect shots on defense.

Offensively, Owens is developing into a double-double player with his ability to attack the basket. Elon has offered, an early sign that local college programs should be all over him.

5. Zyun Reeves, East Forsyth

East Forsyth has a big body prospect in 6-foot-7, 230-pound player Zyun Reeves. Reeves has a nice, long frame that allows him to secure rebounds all over the floor and block shots on the defensive end.

He’s another guy with double-double potential roaming the state of North Carolina. He doesn’t hold any offers just yet but he should draw some interest with his abilities on the hardwood.

6. Davis Blackwell, Forsyth Country Day

Davis Blackwell has the potential to emerge as a solid prospect in the 2021 class. He can stretch the floor with his ability to shoot from the perimeter and he gets up and down the floor well for his size.

Blackwell isn’t afraid to get out on the break and finish at the rim with authority. He’s got a high IQ for rebounds and creating shots for himself.

7. Jamylan Blakeney, Forest Hills

Jamylan Blakeney returns after a successful sophomore season on the hardwood. Blakeney led Forest Hills all the way to the 2A State Title game although they lost to Farmville Central in the final.

The Yellow Jackets will have some holes to replace but Blakeney’s development should also help them along. He’s an active and defensive-minded player with a knack for blocking shots.

8. Nathan Brafford, Tuscola

Nathan Brafford is coming into his own at Tuscola High School entering his junior season. Brafford put up 13.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game this past year as a sophomore. He’s a difference-making big man when he’s on the floor.

Given his size, he’s got a nice upside and skill set. He’s a prospect that should draw some interest from college coaches.

9. Thomas Townes, Crossroads Christian

Thomas Townes is due for a big season at Crossroads Christian in 2019-20. Townes is an emerging big man that racks up double-doubles like it’s his job. He’s a machine for his squad, especially on the offensive glass.

When he’s locked in on the floor, he’s hard to guard. He’s another player without any offers from colleges but his consistency is something that should gain attention eventually.

10. Dante Kiesenhofer, Holly Springs

Dante Kiesenhofer is another emerging big name at Holly Springs High School. This past season, there was Kadin Shedrick (UVA) and now, there’s Kaleb Scott. Kiesenhofer is another player teams will want to key in on in the frontcourt.

He has the ability to get to the rim with his size at 6-foot-8 and has the ability to stretch the defense with his outside shooting ability. Look for him to climb up the rankings in the coming season.
