NORTH CAROLINA RANKINGS: A LOOK AT THE TOP 15 POINT GUARDS IN THE 2021 CLASS

Here's a look at the Top 15 point guards in the 2021 class.

We’ve gotten a look at the Top 10 point guards, shooting guards, small forwards and bigs in the 2020 class in the state of North Carolina. Here’s a look at the 2021 class.

1. Carter Whitt, Leesville Road

Carter Whitt is one prospect that had a big summer on the recruiting circuit. He returned to Leesville Road this past year where he made noise and he also made noise with Team Loaded North Carolina on the Adidas circuit.

Whitt holds over 20 Division I offers from some high-major programs after showing off his ability to play above the rim and knock it down from 3. He’s a player that could move to the top with more overall team success.

2. D'Marco Dunn, Westover

3. Elijah Jamison, Louisburg

Elijah Jamison is quite the do-it-all point guard out of Louisburg High School. He can get rebounds and lead the break with his strength with the ball and touch on the floor. Jamison averaged over 30 points per game as a sophomore. He’s a prospect due for some big-time offers.

Jamison holds offers from Ole Miss and James Madison already but he should garner more attention with his ability to score with ease from anywhere on the floor.

4. Bobby Pettiford Jr., South Granville

Bobby Pettiford Jr. is a point guard at 6-foot with a smooth feel for the game. He plays within himself to get to his spots on the floor to score. He’s also an underrated slasher with bounce.

Pettiford is a three-level scorer that doesn’t try to do too much with the ball in his hands. He can distribute just as well as he can score. He holds an offer from High Point and should add more with DI interest from others already.

5. Breon Pass, Reidsville

Breon Pass is a solid point guard prospect that defends on one end and turns steals into points on the other end. Pass is lightning quick on defense and defends the ball with purpose. On offense, he makes plays when the ball touches his hands.

The 6-foot guard posted 22.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.0 steals per game for his high school squad in 2018-19. With his junior season approaching, he’s set to make waves with his play on the hardwood. He’s got offers from NC State, Elon and ECU.

6. Jamarii Thomas, Piedmont Classical

Jamarii Thomas is coming back from an ACL injury but he used the summer to show that it’s only a minor setback for him as he played all summer long. Thomas is a pure point guard prospect that looks to pass first and score second. When he is looking to score the basketball, he’s a lethal shooter with athleticism to get to the rim as well.

He earned his first offer this past summer from Lees-McRae but he’s a player that could draw some offers from some low-major DI programs.

7. Javonte Waverly, Henderson Collegiate

8. Daylen Berry, Panther Creek

9. Logan Threatt, South Point

10. Brock Williams, Greensboro Day

Brock Williams is a guard that’s a relentless scorer with the ball in his hands. He can lull the defense to sleep with his dribble then pull a 3-pointer. He was one of the top scorers in the state this past season.

Williams’ addition to Greensboro Day will give them a lethal scorer in the rotation that’s still developing his all-around game. As he learns to play with other scorers, look for his stock to grow.
